5.0 out of 5 stars Iwas pleasantly surprised, January 2, 2011
This review is from: Quest for the Crown: The story of Pepin the Short (Paperback)
I didn't care much for her first attempt at Carolingian fiction so when i got this book for a present I had low expectations. I was pleased to find I was wrong. it's a good mostly realistic portrayai of an era seldom put into fiction form. i enjoyed it very much. my only complaint was i wish the map included more of the sites mentioned in the books. leaving aside that small complaint I found her Pepin the Short a believable character and her history accurate. i hope the author follows up with a novel about Charles the Great shortly
