Forget the Da Vinci code...here's the true story!,
This review is from: Quest of the Delta Knights [VHS] (VHS Tape)
That's right, the true history has been repressed by all-powerful top secret government organizations. But because they are so genius they leaked the true history themselves in a badly made movie. Why? To make the story sound completely unbelievable...and they succeeded. Low budget and very poorly made but nevertheless, TRUE! The true history goes like this: There was a secret organization called the Delta knights in Europe, somewhere, during the renaissance. The movie refers to them as the dark ages(!?) but that's only to throw you off. It was this organization's sole purpose to find the lost store house of Archimedes which houses all the technological secrets he discovered. A major member of this organization was, yep, LEONARDO! This is very controversial but he really wasn't the genius he is thought to be! He was bumbling, fey, and none to bright. His inventions you ask? Well you see Leonardo and 'T', a chosen one prophesied by Archimedes himself, found the secret storehouse! Leonardo just stole all the ideas from what he found in the storehouse. However, 'T' took it upon himself to blow up the storehouse. So Archimedes took all that time and effort to prophesy that a child would uncover the secret storehouse for about 15 minutes and then blow it up. Well, the truth, as they say is stranger than fiction. Because people such as myself are beginning to realize that this movie is in fact the truth our current government, the evil Bush administration is preventing it from being reprinted! That's why you have to buy it used. I especially wouldn't expect to see it on DVD any time soon. Please, I implore you open up your mind and watch this film before the truth is forever lost!

it did have some redeeming features,

I have to admit the movie was pretty bad, but I only figured it out until the end. It could have been a better movie had the ending been different. Brigid Walsh (Brigid Brannagh) is what made this movie 3 stars. Overall I think that this movie is good for those insomniacs who have trouble sleeping at 2:45 in the morning.

This movie had serious potential. Until David Warner showed up. Disquised as a beggar, he adopted a beat up boy (who turned into a girl) and threw his ... at people. They obviously did not have a decent budget for this movie because David Warner aside from playing the old beggar moonlighted as the villain, Voltaire. Ha, what a movie. Anyway, the boy, who turns out to be "special" grows his hair, wears sissy clothing, and shoots spitballs through a straw. One of the best parts was when he rescued Bayduel the beggar out of prison, just to get him killed. Then along comes the Heart throb, Leonardo di Wetpants. Just another fag, even the hooker won't sleep with him. I don't even want to get started on the men who wore masks and hung from trees. A bunch of idiots. By the way, what's the plot? Oh yeah, some crap Archimedes built. I think it was a flashlight. By this point, the movie takes a turn (probably for the worst). You forget anything about the old man, they find a cave shaped like a fist. (sounds stupid, doesn't it) and then everybody dies. Don't we wish. Unfortunately, the Delta Knights continue to roam the lands of Europe. However, I have watched this movie repeatedly and enjoyed it. How is that possible? I was lucky to have seen the Mystery Science Theatre version. It's good for a laugh.

The DUH Vinci Code,

"The Quest of the Delta Knights" is one of those rare fantasy films that has ALMOST no action. There are a few minor fight scenes, but most of the movie consists of an English boy named Travis who's looking for the lost storehouse of Archimedes. Travis is an androgynous little boy with flowing golden curls, and while he's supposed to be a sage,he blunders throughout medieval (?) England on his quest. David Warner stars both as Travis' Gandalfian mentor as well as the evil Lord Vultare. Olivia Hussey makes a cameo as an elaborately dressed, hammy villainess.
And HOW does Leonardo da Vinci fit into this, you ask? Travis finds Leonardo hanging out in a tavern surrounded by bosomy barmaids. Leonardo, like Travis,is a "Delta Knight" dedicated to enlightening mankind,or something like that. Leonardo turns out not to be a genius but a blunderer who steals Archimedes' ideas from the storehouse in Kent(??) In the end, the little boy destroys' Archimedes' storehouse because mankind isn't ready yet. Leonardo doesn't even end up with the beautiful Princess Athena (who lives in a place that looks like Lothlorien meets the Ewok village),making the story anticlimactic in more ways than one. "Quest of the Delta Knights" is a turgid fantasy, best served up by the trio of Mike Nelson and the 'bots at MST3K. As for the fantasy itself, you'll be left wondering what time period it's set in. Lord Vultare's warriors are Vikings, some of the settings are medieval, the prison has clay ovens like Hopi pueblos, and many of the scenes were filmed at the Renaissance Pleasure Faire in Novato. It's a baffling, bizarre little fantasy. So enjoy,if you dare to go on the Delta quest!

If you INSIST on watching this, may I suggest the Mystery Science Theater 3000 version? It actually makes this bedpan of wizard wiz bearable.

Direct to video, with a starring cast of David Warner, David Warner, David Kriegel, Brigid Conley Walsh,
and Corbin Allred (also in Diamonds (1999). The quest is to at first stop David Warner from killing David Warner. David Warner is the good guy and he isn't, that is, he has duel roles. The Quest is to find the lost store house filled with all sorts of neat stuff. Note: the rip-off music from "Empire of the Sun" by John Williams, at the beginning of the film. Other then that; it's an okay little movie, and I think your kids might enjoy it. You might also like it, if you are able to laugh at badly made movies.

Or whatever her name may be now. Aw, you know, the hot redhead! With the brown eyes and curly hair? Yeah, her! I think this may be the only real "movie" she's been in (although she was in one called "Life Without Dick" on which I will not comment) and of course, it holds the distinction of being lampooned on MST3K. I love reading reviews of movies that have been on MST3K. Most usually go like this: "tihs movee only good but Mysteri 3000 vershun!" or some other type of misspelled jumble of junk. Anyway, this movie ain't great, folks. The plot is bad (why do stupid people love Leonardo da Vinci so much?), the acting (except the afore-mentioned Ms. Brannagh) is bad and the sets look like someone went through George Lucas' garbage after "Willow" and tried to create a "fantasy realm" from the scraps therein. Still, it is a nice fantasy movie with a happy ending. And Brigid Branagh. I mean Brigid Brannagh. Uh, Brigid Brannah? Brigid Walsh? Brigid Conley? Anyway, she's in it is about 16 and makes me feel all dirty. That's why I like it.

No, not the original version,

I give this movie 5 stars, but only the MST 3000 version. It is the one of the funniest MSTs ever. Get stoned and watch it and you will have such a good time. Let's just say I watched it three nights in a row because I could barely remember what I'd seen the night before. Needless to say, that was a fun week. See the MST version and you won't be disappointed

This review is from: Quest of the Delta Knights [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This movie is [weak] just because of the acting alone. I don't know whether this characters can act or not...or is it just that the script was [weak]. It was [weak] from the very beginning. On the whole plot, it was not even interesting. I thought it might pick up later but it never did...the movie got worse. Wait til u see the [imitation] sword fights in this movie. ... There are better medieval movies than this movie. ...
