More About the Author

Note that we have suspended distribution of my first book, "Quest For Justice, An Unofficial Minecraft Novel". We expect it to be published again in the Fall of 2015 along with "The Noctem Ascension an Unofficial Minecraft Novel", the second book in the trilogy. Stay tuned!

My name is Sean Fay Wolfe. I'm seventeen years old, and I live in Rhode Island, USA. I have been writing for three years now. Quest For Justice, the first book of Minecraft: The Elementia Chronicles, is my first published book, and it will certainly be followed by other action-adventure novels.
You can visit my website at www.sfaywolfe.com

I have been programming computer games in the Scratch environment for four years now. I started Diamond Axe Studios, my current account on Scratch, about three years ago. Since then I have developed many original games and fan games that have become popular in the Scratch community. These include fan games Fruit Ninja and Super Mario Elements, and original games such as Ninth Force and my most popular game From the Ground Up.

Besides writing and programming games, I have various other interests. I am a Boy Scout in the BSA, and I enjoy camping and High Adventure trips; I became an Eagle Scout in 2012. I have been practicing martial arts for the past ten years. I earned a Second Degree Black Belt in Shorin Ryu Shidokan Karate, and am presently studying Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I enjoy music, having played various instruments including recorder, piano, and viola. I enjoy playing viola in my school orchestra, in the All-State concerts, and at my church.

After finishing the book in just over 3 days of obsessive reading my son set it down and immediately asked if we could go to the book store and pick up the next one.

Overheard a few moments ago from my son who is on-line playing Minecraft with a friend on the Xbox live... "Dude, have you read "Quest for Justice" yet? It is awesome! You have to read it! I am going to write a letter to Sean-Fay Wolfe. He's going to be a best-selling author some day. Yeah- he lives around HERE someplace."

My son is a very reluctant reader, but he DEVOURED this book within just a few days!

I purchased Quest For Justice: A Minecraft Novel (Elementia Chronicles) (Volume 1) for my 9 year old son, who loves Minecraft and is an avid reader. Prior to Quest For Justice we've found that most Minecraft books claiming to be "novels" are in reality short stories of about 100 pages or less, nearly all of them written by author's only passingly familiar with the game. Not so with this book. It is a solid 400 page novel and, in my sons words, Sean Fay Wolfe "gets it"(Minecraft).
After finishing the book in just over 3 days of obsessive reading my son set it down and immediately asked if we could go to the book store and pick up the next one. "I really want to know what happens next, dad".
I started thumbing through the book later that night because I was curious to see how a 16 year old author had captivated my son's attention and quickly found that I was getting pulled into the story. The layout and cadence of writing create an engaging flow for the reader; the storyline is well thought out and imaginative; the character development is rich and detailed.
In short, Sean Fay Wolfe is a very talented young author and Quest For Justice is a fun, well written book that will capture the imagination of any Minecraft fan.
anxiously awaiting Volume 2!!!!

This book was read many times by my 9 year old son and my 12 year old daughter. They absolutely loved it! It came to my son when he was at a point where he did not really enjoy reading independently. After reading this book, the author came to our school for a presentation with my son's 3rd grade class. Not only did my son get his book autographed, but listening to Sean speak of the book writing process, my son went on to write many of his own short stories and Minecraft "novels".

Here are my son's reasons for why he likes The Quest for Justice:
1 - It was amazing because of all of the details and it was just AMAZING.
2 - The characters and their amazing personalities
3 - That it has so many awesome details.
4 - THE FINAL REASON: Because this is the best book ever.

Here are my daughter's reason for why she likes The Quest for Justice:
1 - High Quality Writing: Such as, instead of using 'said, said, said,' he used synonyms and words like 'croaked, whispered, shouted'.
2 - Many Details: Instead of saying: "The gold shovel." He would have said something like: "The glistening golden spade."
3 - Widely Popular: This book went spiraling into stores and then immediately into little kids hands.
4 - It had a good plot. It was just a really good book.

The one statement my daughter has to say about the book overall: "It was so amazing and was so well written and had amazing detail, that it would keep any reader - any age intrigued and on the edge of their seat."

The one statement my son has to say about the book overall: "It has so much detail and is just A-MAZING in how you can envision how all the characters are acting...It doesn't even seem like its a book about playing a video game, but rather its all real and true.

I just finished reading this most amazing book. Frankly, I was absolutely blown away by it.....an exciting, edge of your seat adventure...I actually reacted to it with a variety of emotions: "oohs," and " oh , no, how could that happen", humor, sadness in some situations, and relief when help arrives...The story ended by leaving me with eager anticipation for the sequel, The Noctem Ascension. Can't wait for its publication.
As for writing style...well, it has all the elements of a great novel...You'll see for yourself when you read it. What's even more amazing is that this novel is the creation of a 16 year old author!! Harry Potter and Hunger Games move over...there's a new kid on the block. I know now why the kids are clamoring for this book. It captures the imagination of not only Minecraft players, but anyone who's interested in a stimulating adventure read. But don't think it's only for kids! I am a 79 year old woman, veteran teacher with 2 master degrees and I was completely pulled into this story and could not put it down. It truly does captivate. I am not a Minecraft player, but I am the grandmother of this young brilliant author, Sean Fay Wolfe.
To quote the kids, "Awesome!"

Sean Fay Wolfe came to our school to present his book “Quest for Justice: A Minecraft Novel.” Sean was a fabulous speaker, engaging the students in conversation about the book, as well as Minecraft in general, with a volley between explaining his craft and discussing the plot with students who had already read the book. One student remarked how she had never played Minecraft, but she could easily follow the story without previous knowledge of the game. Sean seemed humbled when she explained that she thoroughly enjoyed the book (and she’s an avid reader)! Several students were able to purchase copies at this event, and the school library received 3 copies. There is a long waiting list of students who are eager to read the book! We can’t keep the books on the shelves!!
