This is a well researched book that does a great job of presenting a history of and analysis of the Indian indentured worker population in Trinidad. It explores the origins of the plan to bring Indians over, the background of those brought over and how they were dealt with legally and in reality. Plenty of original sources are cited and used. For this issue I would say this is the best place to start. |
