5.0 out of 5 stars The best creation video I have found
I have approximately 30 creation-related videos. Many have very good content, but are either poorly produced, or just out of date (quality wise). This video is the best I have found. Excellent (ie, modern!) graphics depicting the problems with the big-bang, evolution, fossil record, etc. Content is very good and the production quality is excellent. Has 3 or 4 segments...

1.0 out of 5 stars chock full of misconceptions and lies
If you are looking for a serious intellectual discussion between creationists and evolutionists don’t buy this piece of propaganda. This tape is endlessly biased towards a strict fundamental view of the world and offers absolutely no counter arguments. Not one reputable scientist is presented to offer an opposing view. Yet the most distracting aspect, besides the...

5.0 out of 5 stars The best creation video I have found, February 23, 2001
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Has 3 or 4 segments that cover different topics, and can easily be used to teach a short class on creation/evolution. Does not "beat you over the head" with theology, but instead uses a scientific approach to looking at creation vs. evolution. Therefore, it is very good for Christians and non-Christians alike. Combine this video with Dennis Petersen's "Unlocking the Mystery of Creation" book and you have excellent material.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Question of Origins, March 20, 2001
By A Customer
This visually rich, full production reveals conclusive evidence that the universe and all life were created by a Supernatural Being, The God of the Bible, our Creator. It's the best creationist documentary in the last fifteen years. A great overview, this video covers the biology, chemistry, and cosmology of creationism.

5.0 out of 5 stars copy of review Gary Jenson, September 28, 2000
By A Customer
Thoughtful and well produced, January 5, 2000 Reviewer: Gary Jensen from Valencia, CA I found the video to be a very well produced and insightful presentation. Though I would agree that there is an evangelistic bias in the interviews, the facts presented are very well supported.

One thing to keep in mind is that no book or video concering origins are without some type of bias. That happens to be the nature of this subject. Either you believe that we are a product of chance or design. Therefore, by definition, you are either a secularist or a Theist. If the origin of the universe is by design, then there must be a designer.

The scientific and statistical improbabilities for evolution seem to require a far greater faith than required for creation. However, there are those who refuse to accept the moral implications of belief in a Creator regardless of evidence to the contrary.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Good Learing Tool in the Debate on Origins, April 14, 2007
This review is from: A Question of Origins [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Did life on earth evolve over billions of years as taught by evolutionary science, or perhaps is life too complex to have simply and randomly come about through natural means alone? This is the central issue of this video.

This video presents evidence for the supernatural origins of life, the universe, and earth, and attributes the creation to the God of the Bible. This program points out that evolutionary science and theory is not the certain fact that many present it as. There are serious flaws and issues with the theory of evolution, and this video brings these to light.

Offering a logical alternative to evolutionary theory, this video then seeks to show how the Genesis account of creation by God makes more logical sense than random evolution. Specific topics in Biology, Chemistry, and Cosmology are presented to show that Creationism by God is more likely than evolution.

The Creation-Evolution controversy is a heated one with both sides presenting their position as the certain final "truth". The debate is likely to go on and on and never be fully proven by either side, as there were no human beings present at the creation to witness exactly what happened. In the end it comes down to a matter of faith. The existing scientific data is the same for both positions, yet it is how one interprets the data (and one's worldview) that makes the difference in opinion on this issue. I don't believe that either evolution or creation can be 100% proven; there will always be speculation and doubt about both positions. Therefore, it does come down to a matter of belief and faith.

This video is a well-produced, visually rich presentation that favors the Creationism point of view. I invite the intellectually curious to explore both sides of the issue and come to an informed decision as possible.

If you are looking for a serious intellectual discussion between creationists and evolutionists don’t buy this piece of propaganda. This tape is endlessly biased towards a strict fundamental view of the world and offers absolutely no counter arguments. Not one reputable scientist is presented to offer an opposing view. Yet the most distracting aspect, besides the fact it is obviously pushing Christianity and not at all interested in scientific credibility, is the fact that the tape largely does not deal with evolution at all. Over 85% of the tape is devoted to Cosmology or Abiogenesis - not evolution. Once we get to evolution, the last 15 minutes of the tape, the same stale arguments are brought out once again. Common misconceptions about evolution are again perpetuated. Such as as: 1) Evolution is random. 2) Evolution and the belief in a creator are mutually exclusive. 3) there are no transitional fossils existing in the fossil record. Talk about beating a dead horse! After watching the tape viewers will walk away with a completely distorted view of Evolution and the theory of evolution. I’m not even convinced that any of the so-called experts presented could even define the term ‘evolution’ let alone provide an adequate critique of it. Again, if you are serious about looking into the subject of evolution and creationism a good starting point is the Talk Origins Archive ....This tape (A Question Of Origins) is a big disappointment, chock full of misconceptions and lies.
