Elster's Answeers,
By Greg Brown. vision@adelaide.on.net (Australia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Questions and Answers in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (Paperback)
The short directed answers used by Elster draw the reader through the subject of MR principles and sequences quickly and effectively. The foramt allows Elster to deal with issues of electromagnetism that are essential to an easy understanding of MRI, but which are often assumed or ignored in other texts and reference books. Most importantly, the book does not lead the reader astray with the sort of comfortable but misleading simplifications used elsewhere. It is certainly time for a new edition as the book deals only briefly with fast spin echo, and sections of the contrast media discussions have become dated. The next best thing is this reprint of teh first edition. Many of my colleagues have waited for it eagerly.
