Teacher Friendly Review
I have had a copy of this book since it became available in 1998. I am very happy with the results of the many useful activities included within! I recently used the "Vocabulary Cube" in a science lesson. What I liked was that the kids were required to stretch their thinking in order to complete the cube appropriately. This book is too time consuming
This book fell way below my expectations. If you're a busy parent and don't have much time to do involved activities or supervise your child as if he were being home-schooled,this is not the book for you. Not too many vocab words to learn directly from the book. One must have a very motivated and self-directed child to do this book.

I have had a copy of this book since it became available in 1998. I am very happy with the results of the many useful activities included within! I recently used the "Vocabulary Cube" in a science lesson. What I liked was that the kids were required to stretch their thinking in order to complete the cube appropriately. It was very difficult, but it challenged my gifted learners which is what I am always looking for. I have also used the synonym activities to lead into a comparison lesson. The kids love it! I highly recommend this book to any teacher! Its activities are appropriate for all students grades 4-8 and can be easily adjusted to any curriculum!
