4.0 out of 5 stars Good little monitor
I recently purchased this monitor because the fisher price monitor I owned no longer worked, I have very pleased with it. It's very light weight, good range and clear. I also like the walkie-talkie feature. The only thing annoying about this monitor is the obnoxously long cords and the cord shortener is a pain in the butt.

1.0 out of 5 stars HORRIBLE PRODUCT, May 20, 2005
This review is from: Quick Connection 900 Mhz Two Way Monitor System (Baby Product)
This product does not work too well. IT picks up interference from other phones, radios, etc. It scares my daughter when she's sleeping. I can hear other people's conversations too, which is disturbing when you need to be using the product but can't. It really isn't that great. My husband intends to dismantle our receiver and clip the cords that allow us to talk to our daughter. We're hoping that by making it a one way system, we won't pick up so much outside noise.

I would not buy this again, nor would I register for it.

2.0 out of 5 stars OH WOW LISTEN TO MY NEIGHBORS, March 18, 2004

Although I do like the features of this monitor, it just isn't worth it for me. I live in a city and quite honestly all my neighbors must have 900 Mhz cordless phones. I have tried both the channels and no matter which one I am on, I hear the conversations of all my neighbors on the phone. The voices are quite loud when they come through from other sources as well. My son and I were watching TV and when the monitor began with its possession it really startled both of us. I realized what was going on but he is still upset every time it makes a sound.

2.0 out of 5 stars No Peace and Quiet, April 11, 2005
This review is from: Quick Connection 900 Mhz Two Way Monitor System (Baby Product)
I bought this monitor for my older kids (6 & 5) for the feature that I can talk back to my kids if need be. But one problem the kids monitor picks up on my neighbors conversation very clear, it seems that they are sitting in my house. The noise is very loud and at all times of the day which wakes my kids up in the middle of night. When this interference in going on I cannot hear my kids.

1.0 out of 5 stars Want to know what the neighbors are up to?, July 14, 2004
This review is from: Quick Connection 900 Mhz Two Way Monitor System (Baby Product)
As a 1st time parent, my main concern was performing my other household duties away from the baby's room, while keeping close communication with the sleeping baby.

On a visit to Babies R' Us, I saw this baby monitor with the 2 way radio. I thought, what a great idea!

Couldn't be the worst idea yet.

What is wrong with this baby monitor?
Many things.

1st: After a busy day dealing with a fussy 5 week old, I'd like nothing better than to get my daughter to bed and enjoy at least 2-2 1/2 hours of shut eye. Instead, I'm leaping out of my bed to rush to the baby's room because I'm getting voices coming over the baby monitor. At first I thought there was someone in the baby's room, or outside her window. It turned out to be my next store neighbor complaining to her mother about finances. Oh, not that I mind listening to such mundane conversations, but Safety 1st delivers such listening enjoyment over the 60 decibel range. Loud enough to wake over tired parents and fussy babies alike. Thanks Safety 1st!!!

2ndly, batteries. Hey, let's build a baby monitor that picks up every phone conversation within a 400 yard range, but how else can we inconvience new parents? How about making the monitor a battery hog! Yes, bad enough we're spending a fortune on diapers, baby clothes and formula. Why not spend what is left over on Double-A batteries? Battery life on the remote unit is about 24 hours, which may not seem bad, but if you have the thing on over night for 2 nights, then the remote unit is dead as a door nail past the 2nd day. The unit comes with an AC adapter allowing you to plug it in, saving battery power, but what good is a remote if you have to search for a convienent wall outlet near were you are going to be? Talk about aggravation.

My recommendation is to skip this brand. I'm planning on returning my monitor 1st thing. There are more headaches attached to this monitor than there are the number of times I have to get up each night to change my daughter's diaper.

1.0 out of 5 stars A disappointing product, May 3, 2005
This review is from: Quick Connection 900 Mhz Two Way Monitor System (Baby Product)
We registered for this monitor and received it at the baby shower. Upon our first opportunity to use it (and already throwing the box away)we experienced nothing but sleep-shattering feedback and the privilege of eavesdropping on our neighbors' phone conversations. Unfortunately, the function of monitoriing our child in his nursery was unavailable through the use of this product. We will try to return this product as quickly as we can.

1.0 out of 5 stars Someone needs to be fired!, March 24, 2005

Whoever approved this finished product probably does not have children and needs to be fired!! I have never heard noises come out of a machine like this one. Its like it is possessed! I live in a house in the suburbs. If you have neighbors with a foul mouth, your child will have a new found vocabulary via this monitor! Just like another customer said, "The only reason I am giving it 1 star is because 0 is not available."

This needs to be discontinued as soon as possible.

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible product!, February 21, 2005

The monitor made clicking and beeping noises on both sides. It was waking up my newborn and causing us much frustration. It also interfered with our cordless phone, causing a high pitched noise when the phone rang.

1.0 out of 5 stars Good for eavesdropping!!!, December 14, 2004
This review is from: Quick Connection 900 Mhz Two Way Monitor System (Baby Product)
I have to agree with everyone else. This monitor is horrible!!!! I live in a busy traffic area and I am constantly listening to people's phone conversations. I even picked up a police radio once. Save your money and buy something else.

I have been searching for a good 2-way monitor. I liked the way this one worked until a neighbors phone conversation came on the speaker in my son's room. I tried switching channels, but the other channel was static.

Had to return it. Why, oh, why can't someone make a good two-way!
