I remember looking through the pages of my mother's favorite cookbook as a child. Now I have many, many cookbooks myself and, just like my mother, I love to sit and read them. When I got my first Gooseberry Patch cookbook, I was hooked. I love the memories, the crafts, the clever hints and the wonderful recipes. They are the very best to sit and read. Whenever a new one comes out, I tell myself that I have enough cookbooks, and my husband reminds me as well! But I don't want to miss any special treasures. I will continue this wonderful tradition that was passed on to me by my wonderful mother!

I love your Gooseberry Patch Bookazine. I so look forward to relaxing with a cup of tea and reading all the great recipes, tips, and decorating ideas. Through Gooseberry Patch I am able to create a warm, cozy and inviting home for family and friends. Thank you!

I've been buying your books for years and love them. I work at a nursing home where we recently opened an Alzheimer's unit with a brand-new kitchen. Once a month, I bring in my Gooseberry Patch cookbooks. My folks love looking through them and cooking your amazing recipes. I love making their lives a lot more fulfilling...thank you for making it easier!
Kimberly Raymond from Haverhill, MA

I have sixty-six of your Gooseberry Patch cookbooks and I love them. Years ago, when we had a craft store, we used to sell them in the store, and I've collected them ever since. I have given away many of your cookbooks as whole family loves them. Going through some of my books on a rainy day is like getting all new ones again. Every holiday I use your ideas to make a special day. Every book is great...keep writing them and I'll keep buying them!

5.0 out of 5 stars Scrumptious Autumn Cookbook! May 22, 2011
Format:Plastic Comb
I have 50 gooseberry patch cookbooks and this is now one of my favorites! It is full of wonderful recipes, sweet memories, and many clever party and holiday decorating ideas. I know I will be using this cookbook often especially during Halloween & Thanksgiving. Most recipes have only 5-8 ingredients so it is truly quick & easy. There are at least 76 easy recipes I can't wait to try like Dutch Honey, Freezer French Toast, Great Pumpkin Dip, Do-Ahead Roast Turkey, Hot Ham & Cheddar Dip, Graveyard Crunch, Speedy Sausage Scoops, Trick-or-Treaters' Taco Soup, Simple Chicken Tetrazzini, Creamy Crock Hashbrowns, Chocolate Pudding Cake, Chocolatey Peanut Drops, & Peanut Butter-Caramel Apples just to name a few. This is one cookbook you won't want to miss.

I love Gooseberry patch cookbooks. They have recipes that are quick, easy and delicious. This cookbook has many wonderful recipes. My family really enjoyed the stove-top lasagna, cheesy veggie soup, creamy crock hashbrowns and 6-bean casserole. I also love the different suggestions and ideas given on each page to help make entertaining fun and easy. If you are looking for a cookbook that provides recipes for the average family this is the best cookbook!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Love It! September 30, 2012
Format:Plastic Comb
I own several of these Gooseberry books and love them all. In some ways these books are a throwback to the days of old when cookbooks just went all out as to flavor, cozy meals around the kitchen table, Sunday dinners with your Gramma, and not caring all that much about what's really good for you...Not this book or any of the Gooseberry series totally ignores the nutritional value of their recipes, but there is no question that they favor on the side of old fashioned down home cooking and comfort food. Most of us don't eat rich delicious meals everyday. This book is for when you decide to do that very thing...

Gooseberry Patch has quite a few books on Autumn or harvest cooking. What I like about this one is it really is as quick and easy as they get without sacrificing great taste. I have made several of the recipes in here and have hit a home run with every one...(The good morning sausage casserole is the bomb. And it also has the best short recipe for French onion soup I have tried). I love experimenting and surprising everyone with breakfast, dinner, snacks, etc, and enjoying this beautiful time of year when one actually loves getting back to some wholesome comfort cooking after a hot summer. Here in New England we have a rich harvest of veggies grown locally and I love incorporating them all into the recipes in this book. Simply scrumptious, fun, and easy... Deliciously recommended... : )
