I had high expectations of this book from reading the reviews. Yet, I found that alot of it did not apply to my situation. I own a 19 foot runabout for lake use only, and alot of the information in this book was specifically for larger off-shore boats. Still, some of the informaton will be useful I'm sure. I guess I was hoping for more technical maintenance stuff. If you own a large cuddy or deisel powered boat, this may be for you.

This book is filled with excellent tips that helped me throw away many of my expensive boat cleaners and replace them with cheaper, less caustic, yet equally thorough cleaning substitutes. Plus, my boat cleaning chores go quicker now. This book has paid for itself several times over. And I haven't even touched on the excellent engine maintenance tips it contains...

This book is the best of Sandy's how-to tips for that ran in Boating for the past 5 years, and about 500 more tips that I hadn't read before. A handy compilation that's a must for every boater's workshop bookshelf.

I was about to purchase a new boat that I really couldn't afford, when I came across Quick & Easy Boat Maintenance. It helped me restore my boat with minimal pain and suffering. Now I wouldn't sell it for the world, but if I did, I also have the plus of knowing I can get top dollar for my newly restored shining clean vessel. Sandy's tips are clearly and concisely written and VERY easy to use. I keep this book on board with me at all times in case of mechanical problem.

This book has wonderful ideas about using commonly available items such as witch hazel and petroleum jelly to clean and maintain your boat. Our dock neighbors were so impressed at the cleaning ability of the concoctions this book recommends that everyone now has a squirt bottle of the stuff for their boats. Highly recommended.

Excellent read, many money saving tips, really appreciate the fact many of the recommendations are organically based and non harmful to the environment.

My first experience was with the deck wash. The stuff that I was using cost about $10 per bottle. The deck wash that I made from the book worked just as well and it cost me under a dollar to make. I haven't even gone in depth yet.

I bought this book used on Amazon and found it to be extremely helpful. Granted, my boat is not a yacht and most of the wood/deck repair leaned toward Yachts. I still found this to be extremely helpful in repairing my bimini top, an refurbishing all the upholstery. I would have spent 3 times as much money on cleaners if I had not read this book.

I read through this in a short time. It just does not have any in depth information. A few good tips on how to use less expensive cleaners that what the mainstream suppliers are selling, but not much of anything else.

Follow his advice and you'll save time and money. My only complaint is that the photos are kind of grainy and hard to see.
