I found this to be the perfect recipe book for amazing Crock Pot recipes. This book is full of excellent recipe choices with each dish completely different from the other. I really appreciate how the author takes the time to carefully explain each step and providing tips along the way. All the ingredients needed to complete the recipes are properly identified and this book is written in a easy to understand format. All the recipes can be completed in about six hours time, some are a little less and a few require eight hours cooking time. I did find the picture helpful although if I did have a criticism it would be that not all recipes in this book have illustrations. Overall I gave this a five star review because I really believe that the recipes in this book are going to be delicious and I know that my family is going to enjoy them over and over again.

After experiencing phenomenal success with the last KISS guide (Quick & Easy Seafood Recipes), I decided to take on something a little more adventurous (crock pot recipes) when I came across this book. The ingredients and instructions were a little longer than Quick & Easy Seafood Recipes, but they were still very easy to follow step-by-step. One of the surprising things about this book is the sheer variety of delicious things that you can cook in a crock pot. Whether it was the Sweet and Sour Chicken recipe or the Savory Lemon Garlic Chicken recipe, this book was full of recipes that were mouthwatering just to read, let alone prepare. Not all of the recipes involved meat, though, so you have lots of options in case you want to cook something a little different. For example, you could prepare one of my favorite non-meat recommendations from the book, Apple Pie Bread Pudding, a creative and delicious twist to the typical desert. I am recommending this book for anyone who has a crock pot and needs to go beyond the typical soup and stew recipes that most people cook in crock pots. This includes my mother, who sadly, gave up her crock pot dreams when she grew tired of cooking soups and stew.

The twenty recipes in this cookbook sound delicious! There is a nice variety of cuisines, including Greek Chicken Stew, Cuban Pork Stew and Asian Spiced Beans.

The Beef Tips in Mushroom Sauce sounds delightful, as does the Mushroom and Black Bean Crock Pot Chili.

My only issues with the recipes is that they call for ingredients that I wouldn't use, like 'fat-free half & half' and reduced-sodium everything, reduced-calorie everything and diet soda used in the recipes.

I will try a lot of these recipes but using 'real' ingredients instead of the processed variety.
