Filled with step by step photos. Most useful were: how to wrap a melon, polygon and triangle, how to make 7+ different kinds of bows from ribbon and how to wrap a wine bottle. The last tip is especially useful since I never liked the look of those wine bottle gift bags.

With this book, I will not be afraid of buying nice but oddly shaped gifts. Overall it's a compact technical primer but dont expect anything innovative or overly artsy.

This is my first book on gift wrapping, and I couldn't have made a better choice. Instructions were very precise and easy to follow.

If your in to gift wrapping, this is your guide. Many examples, matching photo's, clear instructions. Everything you need to know is in here.
Both gift wrapping itself plus bow making techniques are comprehensively explained.
I'd say: If you wish to gift yourself, buy this book!

I love gift-wrapping - weird, but true. So I am happy to have found this resource. This book is paperback and only 82 pages, but it packs in 149 original and interesting gift-wrapping ideas. The author is Japanese, and the book appears to have been published in Japan, so many of the resources listed in the back for supplies are not terribly helpful. I also noted that there were a very few translating mistakes in the written part. They do not detract from the usefulness of the book. The instructions are clearly written and illustrated well, making them easy to follow. The author has suggestions for wrapping round, triangular, and oddly-shaped items, as well as suggestions for using parts of the gift to form the presentation. For instance, she gives suggestions on wrapping or tying up a package with a scarf or using a ladle as a basket for another item. She also discusses many unusual ways to wrap a more typical square or rectangular box, as well as making a gift box or gift bag. If you are interested in novel presentations for your gifts, would like to know how to wrap just about anything, or just enjoy creating a beautiful package, this is a highly recommended book.

This is a useful reference for anyone who knows the basics of tidy wrapping, but would like some fresh ideas. The instructions for bows are excellent, and the photos show a number of variations.

It's not a super-sophisticated book, but you will certainly get some ideas that will delight your friends and family. In these days of gift bags and stick-on bows, just a little something extra has a big impact. Well worth the money IMO.

It has lots of pictures and for a beginner that is good. I still would have liked a little more exciting things. I didn't use this one as much as the other book. Will still be looking for more special wrappings books for beginners :-)

I ordered this book for ideas and to see how to wrap neater presents. It showed how to do everything from a simple box, to much more dramatic effects!! A must have for anyone who wants the gift presentation to be as important as the gift. Well worth the price...

I thought the cover was a bit off-putting but inside I especially enjoyed the step-by-step photos to explain the various steps of wrapping each present. Very helpful. Will turn to it often when trying to make my gifts look pretty.
