The book is written so anyone can understand. The ideas and directions are easy to follow and I did a few projects from the book. I would recommend this for beginners.

All the ideas are good. I just wish there were more of them.

Gourd crafting at its best. Very well done and plenty of information for the beginner or more experienced.
The talent of the gourd artist is amazing. A fun and pleasant craft and this book will be a great addition to your library.

I was very disappointed when I received this book. I thought, based on the cool gourds on the cover, that the rest of the inventory would be just as challenging. It was almost at a child's expertise level. There was a lot of hand painted gourds in barnyard animal, cartoon patterns..I am no expert but I am into gourd carving and crafting and I imagined more challenging patterns. I was not happy with this purchase at all and would not reccommend it to the "gourd artist" with experience under their belt.

This book tells you how to grow gourds, harvest them and clean them for your art work. It has detailed instructions on all the projects. I felt like I was at a dead end with my gourd crafting until I read this and it has inspired me to keep going.

Excellent book for beginners and non-beginners. The book shows you how to start from picking the right gourd to the finished product. It also contains allot of patterns.
