This book is a strong tool in learning how to listen to others.I think it will hit some of you right between the eyes.It puts a strong hold on the scipture James 1:19.I think as christians we ought to learn in order to save someone we have to love and listen to them. This book has already helped me in many areas involving me and my big mouth. It has tought me that the more I speak the more I mess my self up.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quick To Listen, Slow To Speak, November 29, 2010
This review is from: Quick to Listen, Slow to Speak (Mass Market Paperback)
"Quick To Listen, Slow To Speak" has an obvious theme - talk less and listen more! You would think that with 2 ears and 1 mouth, we would know this, but often we act otherwise. Fisher's title is a great reminder of the need to be quiet.

Among the points covered include:

1. Thinking before you speak.
2. Speaking the truth in love.
3. You can disagree with someone, just don't get involved in arguments.
4. Control your response - watch that temper and tendency to speak too quickly!
5. Confess your faults to one another.
6. Forgive others as God has forgiven us.
7. Be careful not to nag.
8. Let God take vengeance as He sees fit.

A great little book that can easily be read in 2-3 sittings (about 1-2 hours total).

Read, enjoy, and listen more. Recommended.
