5.0 out of 5 stars Great help in transcription January 5, 2013
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This book has been wonderful and I am very glad that I purchased it. When listening to a dictator speak who sounds like he may also be chewing marbles, sometimes it is extremely hard to understand what drug he rattled off. This book has sections under most words that include the "sounds like" and "often confused with" other words, and their definitions. Wonderful! The book is also big enough that my aging eyes can easily read the pages, and the format of each page makes it easy to see the word you are looking for. I use it daily and am thankful to the instructor who recommended it.

4.0 out of 5 stars good text for the office desk... January 27, 2012
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I bought this for my busy and well-educated nurse to use at the nurse's station and desk. It is used all the time.

My only critique is that specific half-lives are not mentioned.

Otherwise, it is a great reference for quick info. It is reasonable in price, and encourages generic first/ trade name later views.
