5.0 out of 5 stars My teacher recommended this to me for medical transcription., October 29, 2008

This review is from: Quick Look Drug Book 2008 (Point (Lippincott Williams & Wilkins)) (Paperback)
My teacher is a medical transcriptionist, and this is the book she recommended. I looked at half a dozen other books (all of which cost more than this one, I believe), and Quick Look really is the best for a medical transcriptionist, in my opinion. It was the only one I could find that listed medications by condition in a well-organized format. It also has some good information in the appendices. I highly recommend this book for medical transcription.

I have bought this drug book for years and years as I have used it in my job as a medical transcriptionist and found it to be the best drug book around. I also use it at home.

I started working in a pharmacy and did not like not knowing enough about the drugs. I felt stupid when trying to talk to the patients about their prescriptions. I purchased this book mainly because it contained the pronunciations while other drug reference books did not. I feel I could not have chosen more wisely! I have used, used, studied, and re-used this book. I love it and have learned much. I am now a lot less embarassed when I have to pronounce medication names and I now know what they are for and their generic (or brand name) equivelent also! I paid very little for this book but, knowing what I know now, it was worth much more!
