4.0 out of 5 stars Not bad July 10, 2009

This guide provides a thorough explanation of the basics of Quickbooks and even explains the accounting rationale. It's a good reference guide for quick answers. Quickbooks is a very powerful program and there is much more to learn, but this is a good start.

3.0 out of 5 stars Dummies September 5, 2009
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This book is eary to follow however it still does not answer all the questions that one has. It does not cover all the issues arising for a home based, sole proprietorship business.

5.0 out of 5 stars Couldn't Do Without It! April 22, 2013
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I was totally out of my depth when my husband retired and started a small business. Of course I got right on board and volunteered to do all of his book keeping...right ...After checking out Quick Books 2009 about 25 times during 2009 I was thrilled to find it for sale online this year. Quick Books is a great program but like all computer software it doesn't come with a manual. Thanks to Quick Books 2009 for Dummies I am not only proficient in taking care of all my husbands book keeping, I am our accountant's favorite client. She says she wishes that all of her clients would waltz in at tax time and hand her a stack of quick book reports like I do. Many Thanks from a former Dummie!

4.0 out of 5 stars Quickbooks for Dummies November 10, 2011
Format:Paperback
I find all of the "for Dummies" books to be very good and informative, but if you really want to learn Quickbooks, I suggest doing it through Quickbooks. This book is comprehensive and a good start or review.
