This is not going to answer all of your ?'s nor will it make you an expert but it is definitely worth having around for the money it costs. Written in as plain of a language as possible but you still need to have a basic financial background; that's just the nature of the software. I don't think the people that wrote Quickbooks can answer all of the questions people have about their software so don't expect this book to do it too!

The info is fine, but the writer tries to tell a joke every other sentence. It really wears thin fast. Quickbooks 2009 the Missing Manual is better.

Great overall reference book for the self-trained bookkeeper who owns or works for a small company. I speculate the same for the school-trained accountant working for larger companies.

This book is not very helpful if you have the MAC version of quickbooks, as it doesn't ever mention how that differs. It also lacks some really basic information on setting up new accounts after the original set up and a few other things. Ultimately, I had to download "quickbooks for MAC" the official guide, which is far more helpful.

Ireceived the item quickly and it was exactly as I had ordered. It was in good condition and I would definitely use this seller again.

Disappointed. The add did not mention anything about including CD. I bought the book hoping that the CD was included.

Despite 30 years of accounting experience and multiple accounting systems, QuickBooks is new to me so I need all the help I can get. This is one of the tools I am using along with tutorial software.

This book isn't even slightly helpful for the small retail business owner tracking internet sales or "point of sale" sales. I don't invoice customers, and I don't track my sales by customer. Is this so unusual that it doesn't merit discussion in this book?

If you know even some elements of accounting this book will not make be a good buy for you. In almost all cases where I went to it for more details this book fell short. Good for the basics but too much detail in the last two chater on services and reorts that could have been better spent in the earlier chapters on more accounting analysis.

This is what it is. Covers the basics plus gets into some of the more complex functions of Quickbooks. I already use quickbooks for my business and know portions of it quite well. I bought this for some of the areas that I do not have experience with. After browsing the book it fills by need.
