DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!,

This review is from: QuickBooks Premier Contractor Edition 2009 [OLD VERSION] (CD-ROM)
This is the worst yet! Every time they "update" their product they make it worse and definitely NOT user friendly! NOW, in order to see the screens, you have to put your entire computer on LOW RESOLUTION! Well, unless you have super vision, you cannot read the screens! So I have kept my resolution on medium but now the QB screens are too big and you cannot "x" them out without sliding them left and right. I called their help desk - well that was a waste of two hours!! This is the dumbest "update" I have ever experienced from them. They've added some specialty ways of doing an invoice but slowed down the way you work! Now who thought THAT up????? I'm stuck with it but I hope that someone comes along with a better program because I will switch to another accounting system as soon as they do. SHAME ON YOU INTUIT!!!!

Do you like to listen to music while you are hold? Do you like to talk to tech support for hours on time? Then you will love loading this product onto your new Vista 64 bit.
I've used Quickbooks for 8 years and this is the worst upgrade ever; unsupported, multiple compatibility issues.

Intuit had better start improving their Products before Charging more for them. I am Using QB Premier Contractors Edition 2008 and was better off with QB Premier Contractors Edition 2007 Sorry I upgraded.
Was thinking about upgrading to QB Premier Contractors Edition 2009 but after reading reviews forget it.

I had been using Peachtree and decided to try Quickbooks based on my brother's advice,

I found Peachtree to be much easier to use and the reports are much better. I am a Peachtree lover and with very good reason. They blow Quickbooks away.

QB 2009 is an expensive downgrade from the 2006 QB program,

This review is from: QuickBooks Premier Contractor Edition 2009 [OLD VERSION] (CD-ROM)
A huge disappointment and a giant step backward from the 2006 program, the 2009 program has morphed into a huge resource hog with slow performance, worthless gimmicks and extremely bad support with a large a number of issues. In three years Intuit has managed to make virtually no beneficial change over the 2006 program other than that stated above while forcing existing users to move towards the 2009 program due to Intuit no longer providing payroll tax updates for the 2006 program. Our intensions are to reload the less buggy 2006 program and continue on until a decision can be made for a replacement program

NO problems!,

I do not understand the difficulties people are experiencing. My experience started with the DOS version of QB's, and I have upgraded every "odd" year. I am a Professional Bookkeeper and purchased this copy to use at a client's office. My client does not have a problem with this software, and neither to I. What is the fuss about and the low ratings? Is it because the users do not have basic accounting skills?
As always, Intuit has given solid support with this product...my client did make one phone call about a multi-user issue and it was quickly resolved. We had no installation or user issues. I spent a little time training the gal who is assigned to assist me at my client's office. She had no trouble adapting to Job Costing and Estimates...by the way, my assistant is from Asia and is working on her English, after being here only a few years. She has had NO DIFFICULTY in understanding the help screens if she needs to figure out a problem on a day I'm not in the client's office. The previous version this client worked with was 2006 Contractor's Edition. It was a simple transition for us all. Have the users giving low marks done the product updates and understood the changes? Some of the updates have been significant. Change is difficult for folks to accept and in this case, my opinion is they need to actually make an attempt to understand the significant changes Intuit has made to this highly useful product.

I like others don't seem to have any issues with the product, I like it since it syncs with Bank of America online (business suite), and like the Job costing center. I should mention I have 32-bit XP, I will never in my life switch to Vista, I think Vista's more to blame for people having issues with Vista...Hi I'm a mac and I'm a pc...
