I admit it is a really great product but be prepared to pay full price again every two or three years, especially if you want to run your own payroll. For that there is a mandatory $350 a year payroll subscription fee and you must upgrade at least every three years. If you don't want payroll or any support, I suppose you could use the same version indefinatly.

Even though QuickBooks sales desk said otherwise, QuickBooks 2009 is not compatible with Windows Small Business Server 2008. The only way to use the program in the multiuser mode is to have one on the seats acting as a host. The server cannot act as a host unless it is running QuickBooks, i.e. taking up one of the licenses. The host has to be designated and the host workstation must be running for any of the other workstations to be run the program. I was on the phone for 4 hours with tech support at QuickBooks. The file can reside on the server, but that is all. The server does not act as a server, just as a disk drive. I paid for three licenses and can only use two if I want to user my server.
This will be the last Intuit program I buy. Fourteen years of use and I am fed up with the constant nickle and dime approach of Intuit. Add to that a buggy program that they are making false claims about and I advise any new users to look elsewhere.

Continually locks up and has to shut down. I don't know how many error reports I have sent to QB's, but am pretty sick of it.

Quickbooks Premier 2009 has proved Intuit has done it again. They have made a good product even better. I am a Quickbooks beta tester & look forward to the new versions since they always seem to make my job doing the accounting easier.

This version is easy to set up. You can message other people using QB, you can change employee access level. Credit card handling is easier. Reports are also a great feature.

You can't go wrong with Quickbooks 2009.

This would be my 4th edition of QuickBooks I have used over the years, and I got to say they are getting better each time. I have a small contractor business, but delve into other enterprises from time to time and the 2009 edition makes it easy to keep them seperated.
Highly recommend this product, from small business to large for that matter. Seems to have no limits on use. The company snapshot makes oveall look at your companies finacial health so easy.
Installs easy, Worls fine on Windows XP 64 bit Edition as well as the regular 32 bit systems.
Highly recommend this package.

With the 2009 version of QuickBooks 9 Premier, Intuit has created the best ever version of QuickBooks. It does everything that a small business or individual would ever need to do with accounting. The interface is clean, straightforward, and easy to navigate and use.

We have been using QuickBooks since 1994 and have always been highly pleased with the product. There are 4 versions for 2009:

1) Simple Start
2) Pro
3) Premier
4) Enterprise

The Premier version which we are using is set up for either single or multiple simultaneous users and is a delight to use. We are running it on XP. Please note that it only runs on XP or Vista and will not run on prior versions of Windows. It is simple to install, has automatic updates, and installed very quickly and is then ready for use.

If you are using TurboTax you can directly import all of your accounting into TurboTax which makes the whole process complete and simple.

DO NOT BUY IT OR UPGRADE TO IT
IT IS FULL OF PROBLEMS AND IT IS BASICALLY A DOWNGRADE NOT AN UPGRADE
ESPECIALLY THE ONLINE BANKING FUNCTIONS

I love this program. It now runs better & faster. I can access many functions while in multi-user mode and can chat with co-workers or shut down their Quickbooks from my desktop. New search option make it easier to find customers & transactions.
