I have been using Quicken for about a year, having read only the manual on occasion. I came across this book at the local library and decided to check it out. I found the book an easy read and well thought out. Most of the material was review for me but I did find a few gems of wisdom which made reading the book worthwhile. All in all a good book for someone new to Quicken or someone who has been using Quicken for a while and wants to go beyond the skimpy manual which comes with Quicken. Quicken contains some nice features which aren't explained in the manual.

Like the title says, this book is definitely for people who do not want to pour hours into a manual to learn Quicken. The organization of the chapters, with a Fast Forward section that specifies succintly how to accomplish things in Quicken, is superb.New users of Quicken and computers in general will find this fact-filled and visual book easy to read and understand. Current users of Quicken will find it easy to browse the book and go to a specific subject. It also contains sections on short-cuts and how to customize Quicken to suit your needs. |
