Jeffrey Lee DuPree was born on March 7, 1979, in Louisville, Kentucky. He is proud to introduce his first poetry book filled with the thoughts and feelings of growing up in a hearing world as a Deaf man. Although he writes about many different topics, his writing revolves around his life, his loves, losses, being a proud Deaf man and a Deaf poet. His words will capture you as you read and realize that his first language is not English, but American Sign Language (ASL). Sit back in awe and read his words knowing that many of us would be unable to write a book in another language other than our own. His love of poetry is much to be admired; he is inspired to write, and to write about everything. You will feel the joy and pain in his words as your eyes move across the pages. He is extremely proud of this accomplishment, writing poetry in English and ASL, and you should look forward to reading more of his books in the future as well.
