I say it is better for the 3 and over because the beginning of the CD has a monologue about getting ready for rest time. Kids under 3 don't follow those kind of routines. They have the children imagine being on a beach, holding a gold coin, and counting backwards ( and many more) to prepare to relax and rest. The songs all have a different sound, like an asian influenced song and spanish influenced. It is really great for rest time and I would recommend it for that. It isn't a circletime CD, like the other greg and steve cds.

I am a teacher and the first time I heard this CD was when I was switched from teaching Sixth Grade to Kindergarten. My teaching partner had this and she used it during her nap time. It didn't take me long before I was looking forward to humming along with the music. I bought it for my 7 year old daughter and she'll put this on by herself to go to sleep to. It's an instrumental that almost has an exotic sound to it. It's not that "baby" lullabye type music, yet it's more sophisticated than that. It's well done, soothing and relaxing. I'm buying it as gifts for my family and friends. The beauty of this CD is that it's for ALL ages and although my daughter is almost 8, we're sure to get YEARS of listening out of this CD. Highly recommended.

Greg and Steve are wonderful children's artists. This CD is a compilation of quiet music. We use it during rest time in our pre-kindergarten class. Each year, I find, after a few listenings, the children are humming along with the music. It's simple and enjoyable. A plus for any classroom.

I just found this lp at goodwill and am now listening to it. I would say I am pretty relaxed but also still kind of aware of my problems. I can remember being a kid pretty well and I would say that I would maybe like listening to this if I was on a car ride to Wisconsin.

But I will be honest I was hoping for more weird synths.

We needed a new CD for the night time wind down as we put our grandson to bed. This one was perfect. There are no words, except for the start up, and it allows for quieting the mind. I can see where the first segment is valuable for "talking you down" but 11 minutes is too much for a four year old....we skip over that one.

My mom was a nursery school teacher in my childhood, so that she could be with me during the day. She got this tape for me when i was very small, and I absolutely adored it! I was elated to find it is still available. This is a completely wonderful album for little ones, and although your friends and loved ones may tease you mercilessly, I promise you're not too old for it even if you're not quite a little one anymore!
