Makes you dig down inside yourself and realize many things about yourself that you have never taken the time to think about. Every women should read this book. And some cases, I feel it would be worthwhile for men. I think any mother, harried housewife or career women would get something out of this book. It also allows you to find a quiet place and think!

Wonderful for men, too!,

This is such an inspiring book, I couldn't put it down! Please, gentlemen, don't let a little thing like pride come in the way of reading something that can help you understand not only your partner, but yourself as well! An excellent literary accomplishment...I've already started to read the sequel, "Still Waters". As an aside, Mrs. Rubietta's husband, Rich, has just released an accompanying CD with an all-new song for each of the chapters in the book, "Quiet Places". Another "don't miss"!

Bible Study Success,
By Lucille D Laflamme (Ste. Marie Church, Manchester, NH) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Quiet Places: A Women's Guide to Personal Retreat (Paperback)
We have used Jane Rubietta's excellent book "Quiet Places" for our Friday morning Bible Study for young Moms. These young women have been so moved with the insights they have received from this book that Mrs. Rubietta has been invited for an all day women's conference on August 12th. Mrs. Rubietta treats women's contemporary issues with great depth, personal experience, and always with a focus on Christ Jesus as personal Lord and Savior. Such topics as self-esteem, respecting boundaries, grieving, friendships, loneliness, and realizing life long dreams and ambitions are treated realistically. This gifted writer touches hearts and minds. We can't get enough of this writer's ideas and insights into women's needs for one another and for Christ. She catapults her readers into the arms of God.

A source of healing,

This book came to me at a time of a spiritual desert filled with pain and barreness. After hearing Jane speak and reading this book, my love for the Lord was revived as I discovered what it was like to truly come to know my savior in a most intimate way. The times away that I have spent with Jesus with this book in tow have been priceless.
