Tony Dungy led the Indianapolis Colts to Super Bowl victory on February 4, 2007, the first such win for an African American coach. Dungy had taken 8 of his previous 10 teams to the playoffs. With this victory, he joined Mike Ditka and Tom Flores as the only individuals to win the Super Bowl as a player and head coach.
Dungy joined the Colts in 2002 after serving as the most successful head coach in Tampa Bay history. He has also held assistant coaching positions with the University of Minnesota, Pittsburgh Steelers, Kansas City Chiefs, and Minnesota Vikings. Before becoming a coach, Dungy played three seasons in the NFL.
Dungy has been involved in a wide variety of charitable organizations, including the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Athletes in Action, Mentors for Life, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys & Girls Clubs, the Prison Crusade Ministry, and All Pro Dad. He also works with Basket of Hope, the Black Coaches Association National Convention, Indiana Black Expo, the United Way of Central Indiana, and the American Diabetes Association.
He and his wife, Lauren, are the parents of seven children.

A companion piece to his bast-selling memoir of the same title, respected NFL head coach provides a playbook to better appreciate the teachings within the New Testament.
Like any outstanding teacher - and a great coach is an excellent instructor - coach Dungy does not leave any person behind; this can supplement other study materials or can be used to introduce someone to the New Testament and then utilized for future reference. While it can be used by one person, to involve others in studying the New Testament is obviously a way to practice the priorities of a winning life. As the saying goes, "There's no 'I' in team."

Coach Dungy's celebrity and success make this a great gift for anyone trying to figure out how to get ahead. Its great to use along with the new book but maybe better as a gift. It's handy size and attractive appearance also make is aesthetically desirable and easy to slip into someone's hands. Buy two or three and keep them handy to share with those inquiring minds you encounter!

Wonderful! I like the fact that Psalms & Proverbs is included with the New Testament. Verse Finder & Overview of the Books is very helpful. I've given several as gifts & everyone raves about it. The compactness makes it easy to carry & use when on the go. This is a 'TD' in my eyes. (touchdown & Tony Dungy's initials)
