i absolutely have to have a sweep second hand, no ticking. and this clock does not tick! if you put your ear right next to the clock, practically right on the clock, then there is a very very soft motor sound. but really really soft. i've got a pretty serious neurological disorder that makes me very sensitive to background noise and if i can't hear it, probably no one can! the clock is also kind of pretty and looks good with my retro/art deco bedroom furniture. so far it works fine. i will only be disappointed if it stops working for some reason. it is a cheap plastic thing made in china, after all. however, it's the only clock i found that i could afford that is also quiet and even pretty. it's a perfect size for the bedstand, not too large and not too small. you need to push a button to see the time at night but that's fine. the light works well. i don't use the alarm but i tried it out and it seemed good.
This medium size alarm clock works well and is completely silent. It has well positioned snooze/night light and alarm buttons. The design is pleasantly retro. However, I find the two colours a bit cheap-looking - would have preferred all pearl white or all pale gold.
I have received this clock days earlier than expected, great. The clock feels very light and cheap, but looks pretty cool. It makes no sound whatsoever, great, has a bright light when you push the button at night, and the alarm sound gets louder slowly. It does not have a snooze, which is fine with me. Overall I am pretty happy with it. I gave it four stars only for the cheap feel. I would like to give it 4,5 stars if the rating would allow me.
Clock is as described. I love the look and color. It goes with my beige bedroom with my 50's furniture and princess phone. The alarm is ascending starting with a soft slow pattern of beeps, which increases in volume and frequency. Depressing the silver button on top turns on a LCD light that lights up the face of the clock. There is no ticking noise. The plastic has a cheap feel to it though. The back casing of this clock could have been metal, just to give it some substance..
