This is a review of the audio version,
By The cover has a picture that actually relates to a section in the book. I spent some time in the U.S. Army and what is really weird is except for the technology, I can relate to the people and attitudes in the book. He describes training, leaves, antics in the front, and comradeship. If you spent anytime in the military you should be able to extrapolate many things that he just implies. Anyway even if you have read the book or seen the movies the recording is an added dimension that should not be missed. "He fell in October 1918, on a day that was so quiet and still on the whole front, that the army report confined itself to the single sentence: All quiet on the western Front." All Quiet on the Western Front (Universal Cinema Classics)
