Like thousands of other folks I am sure, my ears perked up when I first saw the commercial on TV for Quietus months ago. Anyone that suffers from tinnitus knows exactly what I am talking about when I say that its the one ailment that stays with us for life, manages to inflict us 24 hrs a day, forever, but never really does any physical damage, nor eases up for a single second from the first moment of its onset. Its in your head and cannot be snuffed, quieted, nor is it even very well understood all that much by the professionals that are in a position to really do anything about it. Its like a form of torture that has descended on the human race that the medical profession has chosen not to take all that seriously, and or just seen fit to take a pass on for the most part. Either that, or tinnitus really is the biggest medical mystery of all time. Not a doctor in the world seems to really care all that much, or even can offer you a single positive thing to do about it. No wonder some poor slobs have gone off the deep end trying to rid themselves of it.
A look around Amazon and other places online will quickly show you that unlike headaches and other bothersome ailments that make our lives miserable, as far as tinnitus is concerned there are very few solutions or miracle cures even being offered. Tinnitus sufferers don't even have the "luxury" of trying dozens of different concoctions in hope of some relief, for there are only a mere handful of so called remedies being offered at all. Quietus was the latest, and third in a line of promised relief that I have tried. Unfortunately, it moves to the head of the class as far as being not only totally ineffective, but the premier example of true highway robbery with its price. I am ashamed to admit that this is one product that I actually decided to spring for simply because I believed that no company would charge this much money for something that didn't work. Or at least work well enough to ease up the suffering just a little bit. I will never be so stupid and naive again. I gave this stuff a whole bottle worths of patience to at least turn down the volume a little on the relentlessness, eternal ringing noise I hear 24/7, but there was nothing. Audio samples on this company's web site offers several examples of different kinds of tinnitus sounds and one of them matched my frequency and irritation perfectly. There was no doubt that the company and product was promising relief for exactly the kind of noise I hear constantly. I wish I could offer Quietus a big fat 5 stars for relieving something I have suffered with most of my life, but alas it was totally and unconditionally ineffective for me. As mentioned before, I took the whole bottle in order to give it plenty of time to work, and there was really nothing. Even a slight lowering of its volume would have been enough for me to add another star or two, but the results were dismal. By the looks of the other reviews here, it appears that Quietus gave everyone else as much of the financial shaft as it did me. Its been a very long time since I have been so disappointed in something, but unfortunately I was with this. Quietus may very well work for you, but if you want my opinion, I would advise you to wait until at least a couple of positive reviews show up here, or someplace else, claiming some form of success with it. If and when they ever do. At the time of this writing, there was nothing but a negative landslide. Personally I most definitely would not recommend Quietus. Not at $100 a pop anyway.
In conclusion, if you suffer from tinnitus like millions of us do, and you have studied or researched it thoroughly, than you know that there is little, if anything that can really be done or even hopeful in bringing some real relief at all from it. In some ways it would almost be better if tinnitus eventually killed us, for at least then perhaps the medical community would take it as serious as cancer and hopefully figure out something. But alas tinnitus does not hold that kind of mercy in store for us. Instead it holds us over for a life of slow torture. Although nothing I have ever tried has ever had any real continuous positive effect on my tinnitus, I have in the past used something called "Clear Tinnitus" that is available here on Amazon and had at least some success with it on occasion. (It's sometimes available at the local Walgreen's here, so if you want to try it immediately, you may have some luck getting it there). Although Clear Tinnitus is certainly not the miracle cure that so many of us are looking for, it is far more reasonably priced, and has in the past lessened some of the volume of my own tinnitus. Not all the time, and certainly not dramatically, but some. The reviewers for it on Amazon seem to back up this claim to a degree as well. It may be worth it for you to try. I have enclosed a link to it at the end of this review. As for Quietus, don't make the same mistake we all did. I don't know what kind of research this company did in order to promise such relief, but for me and many others it was nothing but a very expensive disappointment. Avoid...
