I don't like other bicycle tire irons compared to this one.

They're too short. They break.

This one makes it easy to install a brand new tire that needs some brute force to stretch it on to the rim.

It's also devoid of any pointed edge so I don't worry about it pinching or puncturing my inner tube.

3.0 out of 5 stars Helpful tool, but you still need a tire iron
I've had one these tools for 20 years and I use it after I get the first bit of tire bead off the rim. The tip is too blunt to get under the edge of my high pressure tires. Continental Gatorskin Wire Bead Road Bike Tire But once the bead is stretched over the rim this tool generally won't pinch the inner tube when you are getting the rest of the tire off.

Yeah, it doesn't have the spoke holder that other irons have, but you quickly learn with this tool, they're unnecessary.

I have also in a pinch used it to help lever the bead back over the rim, although it's not a perfect tool for the job. (Thumbs generally work the best but there are days when nothing else seems to work but another lever and the basic tire iron can pinch the tube very easily.)

This tool is well worth the sub $4 price. As a commuter I carry it with me, but I also have two tire irons as well.

Have used Quik-Stik for the last 20 yrs... a lot. Never failed to get the tire on or off. Practically unbreakable. But $29.00??????? I hope that is a typo. Can be found elsewhere for $3.

They don't last forever, but a new one every couple of years is ok. You can put a bunch of torque on this and it survives, I can't say that for other levers. Doesn't leave marks like metal levers. It's my favorite, and I think its the best compromise between durability, maring and getting the job done.

I used these as soon as they came, it was soooo easy to change the tires, I barely had to work! They came off as easy as they went on. I would recommend this product to everyone who does thier own wheelchair maintanance, and also to bike shops too!!

I got one of these for my brand new bike and on my very first ride I got a flat and was able to try out the product for the first time. It worked great.

I bought this to help change a smaller 20" offroad style tire on my large wheelbarrow that was on really tight and the old rubber didn't want to move very much.

With this tool (and properl following directions), I was able to remove the both tires in under 2 minutes and putting them back on with the new tubes was just as fast.

Definitely if nothing else, for $4, the time it save me, and also not having the risk of hurting the tube or myself with a screwdrver, it was worth the price and is now part of my bicycle tool kit.

Makes changing tires on my mtn and road bike (some tires) a piece of cake. I have purchased 1 for each bike. Never had one break.

If you are buying this for a single speed/fixie, these are really fat and won't fit through the tire and rim easily
