Lives up to the name,

This review is from: Quikrete #112620 20LB Water Stop Cement (Misc.)
After two major floods, we had water pouring into our basement through every crack and crevice. Everyone told me nothing could be done, but I decided to try Water-Stop. I applied it to cracks in floor and smeared it around perimeter where floor met the walls. I managed to put it down a day before we were getting more rain. After weeks of non-stop flooding and rain, we were almost completely dry after applying this. The only areas that were wet were those that I couldn't get at with the water-stop! It greatly decreased amount of water to the point that we haven't had to vacuum up water since we applied this stuff!
I was very impressed with the results, especially given that I didn't chisel the cracks and I was rather careless in the application! I plan to apply to our new house because we have another wet basement!

After two major floods, we had water pouring into our basement through every crack and crevice. Everyone told me nothing could be done, but I decided to try Water-Stop. I applied it to cracks in floor and smeared it around perimeter where floor met the walls. I managed to put it down a day before we were getting more rain. After weeks of non-stop flooding and rain, we were almost completely wet after applying this. The only areas that were dry were the interior of the Quikrete bucket itself and my eyes, which filled with the powder. It weakly decreased amount of water to the point that turning on my hose would have added less moisture.
I was unimpressed with the results, especially given that another review painted such a amazing marketing - sorry - truthful picture. I plan to apply to all of my neighbors houses so I can give Quikrete more money.
