5.0 out of 5 stars Creative inspiration, December 27, 2003
This review is from: Quilling: Techniques and Inspiration (Paperback)
Great overview of quilling. Amazing, creative designs! Exciting inspiration.
If you have any interest in quilling, this is a fun book. Projects are not too "country" the way other books and kits tend to be. There is a range of historical and contemporary styles. This book is neat for the novice but geared for more complex quillers. Beware, this is not much of a step-by-step manual though. More for ideas!

Beautiful to look at and fun to try!

5.0 out of 5 stars Advanced Techniques, February 8, 2004

Sonja J. Woodward (San Jose, California United States) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Quilling: Techniques and Inspiration (Paperback)
This book has several advanced techniques not found or not explained in other quilling books. It is a great "next step" book for those who have already used the basic techniques. It is also a great inspiration to show beginners what can be done with quilling. The designs are elegant and interesting, not cute and they don't look like they came from 1970.

5.0 out of 5 stars A little advanced, August 19, 2005
This review is from: Quilling: Techniques and Inspiration (Paperback)
Some of these patterns are truely lovely. I especially liked the Victorian Fan. Most of the book deals with somewhat more advanced techniques. Examples of quilled dolls and boxes look a little beyond the beginner, but there are a number of other motifs that should appeal to the novice.
