Excellent projects for newbies
I'm not a quilter, and have just discovered mixed media. I do have a background in sewing, so the projects are straightforward and require no special skills. The author takes you through them in an easy to understand way, and gives ideas for alternatives. I was hoping for more simplicity...a start...maybe I'll go back to it when I know more about quilting.

I'm not a quilter, and have just discovered mixed media. I do have a background in sewing, so the projects are straightforward and require no special skills. The author takes you through them in an easy to understand way, and gives ideas for alternatives.
This is a good way for building up your mixed media skills without having to tackle a full sized project. The confidence you will get from following these simple projects will carry you through to more complicated and advanced books and designs. My biggest problem with this book? I live in Australia so have to work out alternatives to some of the supplies used, but that is no reflection on the author. Its a great introduction to mixed media crafts, and for creating something special for your friends.
