The third volume highlighting the nation's premier quilt show should be the only evidence needed to attest that the words
quilt and
artist need never again be separated. The 82 examples depicted from the latest Quilt National traveling exhibition find their inspirations in the works of impressionist painters, in nature, in political ideology, and, of course, in sheer color. The creativity on view is staggering, the workmanship remarkable. Although you will not find instruction here, this is a must-buy for art-based collections.
