Kimberly Einmo is an author, designer, judge, and international quilting instructor. While living abroad, she designed a series of original quilts, many of which are featured in her first book, Quilt A Travel Souvenir, published by the American Quilter's Society. These stunning quilts capture the beauty and essence of the many different countries and exciting cities she visited in Europe.
Kimberly's articles and quilts have appeared in a wide variety of publications including McCall's Quilting and McCall's Quick Quilts Magazines, American Quilter Magazine, Japanese Patchwork Tsushin Magazine, Irish Quilting Magazine, and Quilter's Home Magazine. She has developed several innovative and exciting new tools - including the brand new Simpli-EZ Jelly Roll Ruler, Easy Star and Geese Ruler, Easy Hearts Tool, and Easy Pineapple Log Cabin Ruler - which are manufactured and distributed by the Simplicity Creative Group. She has also designed a popular and highly successful series of Mystery Quilts, which are in high demand by students everywhere.
Acclaimed both nationally and internationally, Kimberly has appeared as a repeat guest on the PBS series America Quilts Creatively. She has served as a full-time faculty member at the AQS Quilt Shows in both Paducah, KY and Des Moines, Iowa; as a judge, featured speaker, and instructor for many consecutive years at the Quilters' Heritage Celebration in Lancaster, PA; at various Original Sewing and Quilt Expo Events throughout the US, and she was the only instructor invited to represent the United States at the 2nd Annual Prague Patchwork Meeting in the Czech Republic in 2008. She'll be returning to teach in Prague again in 2010. Kimberly has taught classes on several quilting cruises including destinations to the Caribbean, Mexico and Alaska, with many more international appearances and quilt cruises scheduled through 2011.
Kimberly was chosen to join the elite group of American Sewing Professionals who represent the Bernina Company throughout the US and abroad. She has also represented Pfaff as one of the VSM Sewing Stars since 2005. She truly enjoys sharing her passion for quilting and sewing with people everywhere, and is currently at work on her third book and designing a Signature Series of quilting patterns, notions and tools for the Simplicity Creative Group.
