We have a large beautiful table and we have trouble finding things to fit it and keeping our grandkids from putting dents and scratchs on the table. I purchased this and it has worked great for our table. Its easy to clean and it stays in place. Has loved this pad for our table and will continue to use it for many years!

I have a black wooden dining room table in a size that is not easily found. I have it covered with a very fine, see-through beautiful tablecloth that I would not give up for anything. But there is no padding between the fine tablecloth and the table! It slips all over the table whenever you sit at it. It just wasn't right. This table pad is just the right thickness; cutting it to size was a breeze, and although it it white, you can see no difference in the color of my tablecloth. The tablecloth now stays where it is meant to be, and the table underneath is protected. All this for a very decent price. Plus I have so much left over, I'm planning on putting it underneath my printer, which sits on a bare wooden table. I have used it under the runners on my coffee table and cedar chest, and they don't need to be straighted every time you pass by them or put something on them. A great buy and very useful.

This is a thin run-of-the-mill pad that you can find in many stores such as Bed Bath & Beyond--the ones that look like a white solid shower curtain but have felt on one side. The main difference is that this particular table pad has some line pattern on the front resembling a quilted piece (as shown in the picture above), but it is NOT quilted. Another difference is that this is about $10 more expensive. To add insult to the injury, this piece arrived dark-stained and very dirty, as if it were handled by someone with dirty blacked hands.
I purchased this pad thinking that it is really quilted and thus would give me more cushioning than the cheaper ones you can find in your local stores. I was misled by all these good reviews from buyers who apparently do not know the difference.
