Great Quilt Retreat Novel,

This review is from: Quilter's Knot: A Harriet Truman/Loose Threads Mystery (Loose Threads Mysteries) (Paperback)
In the second book of this series, we are re-introduced to the characters from the first book. This time, the women are at a quilting retreat. The author does a nice job bringing readers through the event - I could feel myself there with them throughout the book. The characters remain interesting, fun and as lively as they were in the first book, yet this book could stand alone on its own merits. The author again brings up many interesting aspects of the quilting industry today and how they are dealt with. I also finished this one in a day! I'll be eagerly awaiting the next one in the series!

guessed who committed the crime, admittedly it was not early on in the book and the author gave nothing away...As a matter of fact, I think she did a great job of leading the reader astray!! And that is why I gave this a 5 star review. Again, I am enjoying the characters immensely as well as the background/foreground of the quilting experience....
I am now beginning "Quilt As You Go", the third, and so far final, book in this series and of course I am keeping my fingers crossed that Ms. Sachitano is keeping herself busy writing more of these!!! I CAN HOPE, CAN'T I????

I love reading books that have quilting themes. This was a generally good-feeling book and easy to read. Something you could pick up and read in a short time, just for pleasure. The other series that I absolutely love are the "Elm Creek Quilt" books. Read them in order and you will truly fall in love with the main character, Sylvia Compston. You really get to know the characters in these books. I am now reading the second book in the Harriet Truman series.

Not a masterpiece,

The book was poorly written. The main character is not likeable and the stories are borderline trashy. I guess, if you like simplicity and unrealism then this is the book for you.

Difficult to Put dDown,
This review is from: Quilter's Knot: A Harriet Truman/Loose Threads Mystery (Loose Threads Mysteries) (Paperback)
From the moment I picked up this book I was captured. It was difficult to put down. Despite having too many things to do in my life, this was a must read book for me (in fact I read it twice to see if I missed anything during the first rapid read through.). What was also wonderful was the fact that I had the opportunity to meet the author at a book signing. She was easy to talk to, engaging and just fun.

Mystery, romance, and quilting - What more could you ask for?,
By Olivia Shujew (Severn, MD United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Quilter's Knot: A Harriet Truman/Loose Threads Mystery (Loose Threads Mysteries) (Paperback)
I bought this book used for a dollar and what a find! The author uses the backdrop of a quilting retreat to combine the perfect amount of murder mystery and romantic twist. I do quilt, but I don't think you'll have to be a quilter or seamstress to follow and enjoy the plot. This is an easy read and one that you won't want to put down.

Quilters on the loose,
This review is from: Quilter's Knot: A Harriet Truman/Loose Threads Mystery (Loose Threads Mysteries) (Paperback)
Well written mystery with enough quilting jargon to keep a true piecer interested in the behind-the-scenes plot. Hope the author keeps up the series and the hero finally gets a date.
