As a beginning quilter, I've been more inspired by the colors and quilt blocks in this book than in any other. The step-by-step "recipes" are a lifesaver for someone who's not sure where to start and make even the more challenging patterns seem accessible. The section on quilting techniques is not as in-depth as in some other books, but this book would be a more-than-adequate accompaniment to a basic quilting class or a beautiful supplement to a more comprehensive quilitng guide.

I had been using a library copy of The Quilter's Recipe Book to make my first quilts---four of them! This book helped me greatly and I finally decided to take the plunge and buy it. It's my trusted companion as I make my quilts.

This book is the best quilting book that I have seen. It is so easy to understand! I recommend it to every new (and old!) quilter.
