I just got a pair of these machine quilter's gloves, and I love using them! They give me that grip, needed, to
push the layers of fabric through the machine, in order to quilt all 3 layers. No dry skin, no slipping, you get a good grip with these, and they are lightweight material, so, you hands don't perspire, while quilting in hot weather.

I want to get another pair, asap, just in case.

One thing, these are not machine washable, nor can you put them in a dryer. Hand wash, only. Not a big deal, really.
I recommend these, for any machine quilters, who are tired of their fingers slipping, or tired of having aching muscles, from
getting the fabric through the machine.

I have tried several ways to hold onto the fabric while machine quilting and been very unhappy with all of them until I got these. I had thought they were a little pricey and thought I could do it with something cheaper. After having my shoulders and arms ache from trying to move the fabric around while I machine quilted I decided to invest the money and see if I could do it better. The gloves are very comfortable to wear; they are constructed of soft stretchy material with rubberized finger tips so my hands don't get damp from accumulated perspiration. The fabric feels so good on my hands it actually gives them some support as I sew.

I have large hands for a woman and thought I had ordered the large size gloves. When they came they were the small size and I thought I must have made a mistake. I noticed the hand chart on the back of the package and it looked like the size was based on length of hand and fingers and not on "plumpness" so I tried them on. They fit perfectly. If I had gotten the large ones they would have been at least an inch too long for my fingers. Since the finger tips are what make the gloves work too long would be a big problem.

Recently I was quilting hot pads for gifts and was having trouble making the pad move around under the needle. I had lowered the feed dogs and had my machine set for quilting and couldn't see what I was doing differently; then I noticed I wasn't wearing my Machingers! I put them on and had no problem holding onto the fabric and moving it around at all.

The fingertips seem to get "dirty" quickly, but I know I'm not using them on anything that is soiled so I think it is dye that rubs off while holding the fabric. It doesn't rub off on light colored areas so I'm not going to worry about needing to wash them until it effects the fabric. They are too valuable to me to mess with.

These gloves are great for sewing and quilting. They are much more lightweight than other gloves I've owned and they have grips on the fingertips.

I would suggest the XS though. Unless you are a man or have really big hands, the S/M are a little too big on the fingers. This can cause problems threading your needles and has also caused me to sew my gloves a couple of times!! Thank goodness it didn't get my finger!

When I started free-motion quilting, I used several types of gloves to assist in holding the quilt sandwich securely. Most of them made my hands sweat and a few of them actually impeded my progress. I saw these being used by Leah Day of DayStyle designs and thought, if she loves them maybe I will also.
I LOVE them. I don't want to do free-motion quilting without them now. They give a nice grip, keep your hands cool and are very comfortable.

Love this product. I bought size small and it is a bit big, I think I can make it work but I wished I had bought extra small. I didn't know they had extra small. I am a size 6 glove to be exact and unfortunately they do not use number size. So if your a size 6 glove extra small would be your size.

I have sewn off and on for a few years now, but only recently decided to learn to quilt.
I don't really have a good machine for quilting, so was worried about being able to make it all work.

After hearing a lot of recommendations for these gloves from quilter boards and quilting videos,
I decided to give them a try.

Do NOT worry about the plumpness of your hand. These have a lot of stretch, and that isn't a concern.
You DO need to measure properly, because you don't want the fingertips flopping around at the end of your
hands! You want your fingertips in their fingertips for control.

I would have ordered too large a size had I not noticed the fit chart on the Machingers website.
I highly recommend that you check them out before buying!

The cuffs apparently come in different colors - not sure, because this photo shows bluish gray, and mine were
green. I don't know if the cuff color varies by size or if there's just a variety of cuffs. I was a little worried
because there is latex in these gloves, and I am sensitive to it. However, after using them for a week, I've had
no problems with them at all.

These are very comfortable. Both gloves fit either hand, so no worries about grabbing the left/right one.
That is VERY nice! They dry my hands out a little (okay, a lot!) for some reason, so just moisturize once you
are done sewing.

They really do help you grip the fabric. My machine won't let me lower the feed dogs and it has one of those
silly little plastic covers on it (ugh!). (I know you can cut a hole in a business card and tape that down, but
I really don't want tape residue on my machine.
