EZ No-Melt Mylar Template Plastic is much easier to use and superior to the OTHER brand of no-melt mylar I used to use. EZ is totally transparent and thinner so tracing a pattern and cutting it out is a breeze. I use a sharpie to trace a pattern onto the mylar. If you want to remove the markings afterwards use a rubbing alcohol dampened cotton pad. The cut templates can be used longer because it takes heat better. *Please be aware that if you use a template shape repeatedly it will start to warp a little from the constant heat of the iron but it takes a while and keeping your iron temperature a little lower will help delay this.I will definitely buy this product again!

Don't mess with the meltable kind. This stuff is clear as glass. Great for aligning fussy-cut fabrics. The only problem is losing the little bugger when it falls on the floor. (I sometimes put a small piece of fluorescent tape on it, just so I can find it!)

This mylar template material cuts easily and holds up for many pieces. I used it for making turned-edge applique circles with the starch method. I used a washable glue stick in the center of the template to stick the mylar to the fabric through the cutting phase and the ironing the edges over phase. It worked like a charm and I have a crib quilt turned out in far less time than I expected. I recommend the product.

This product works just as described. It's easy to cut with scissors and withstands the highest setting on my iron, so I can iron the edges over the plastic for a great, sharp edge on my applique pieces. Both sides of the plastic are very smooth and shiny, so you need something like a Sharpy marker to draw on it. I would like it a little better if one side was textured enough that I could draw on it with a pencil. There is a brand that has that feature, but I'm not sure which one it is.

I use this product in all my turned edge applique projects instead of freezer paper. Used with glue baste, it is the best way to get crisp edges and sharp points on all your appliques & the fact that is does not melt means that it can be used over & over again.

While it didn't melt while using the spray starch method to do a curve around the template plastic, it distorted and rippled when the iron was used repetitively. It was good for about 20 appliques ... a little more than cardboard. I needed 48 appliques.
