A MUST HAVE for beginning quilters,
By
This review is from: Quilting (Seams Sew Easy) (Spiral-bound)
I am teaching a class of young women at my church how to quilt. Many of them have never used a sewing machine. This book gives the very basics of the sewing machine and accessories, quilting supplies needed, fabric and batting information and how to select the colors for projects with splendid color photos. All of the projects are items that can be used in your home: hot pad, nine-patch pillow, checkboard placemats, etc. Each project teaches several new skills with excellent directions. I wish I owned this book when I started quilting 10 years ago. If you ever wanted to learn to quilt, know someone who is interested in quilting or want an good reference book, I highly recommend this book.

This book is great for the person who is starting to quilt. It gives a variety of easy quilt projects that are fun and quick to make. The projects are all rotary cut so no need for templates! This book is a must!

An ok book.,
This review is from: Quilting (Seams Sew Easy) (Spiral-bound)
This book has a lot of useful information and illustrations, but as far as the projects go, I only found one that I really wanted to make. The others consist of: placemats, a sewing machine cover, a wall hanging, etc. I was hoping it would have more actual blanket-size quilt projects, but I guess with it being a book for beginners they thought it best to start small. Still, the only reason I use this book is to refer back to information and illustrations.
