Amazon.com Review
For years the talented folks at the Muppet Workshop have been turning out characters that are adored the world over. And it seems the Muppeteers are also quite adept at making friendship quilts to mark special occasions among their extended family. From this tradition has sprung
Quilting with the Muppets, a celebration of Muppet characters and the humans who create them. Each of the 15 quilt block projects features a different Muppet, with brief directions for reproducing it in fusible appliqué. The quintessential furriness and dimension of the puppets read instantly in many of the blocks as shown, made as they are with fake fur and sculpted foam, but since the very basic instructions explain only flat appliqué, some readers may be disappointed. Still, the personalities of Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie, Oscar, Big Bird, and the rest of the gang shine through clearly even when rendered in simple fabric form, and Muppet enthusiasts will enjoy having good templates of the characters. The book's second half documents about two dozen of the delightful friendship quilts made by the Muppet artists.

From Library Journal
More for Muppet lovers than quilt aficionados, this volume pictures quilts made by artists and craftspeople who work on Muppet puppets rather than by professional quilters, and many of the quilts in the book's Muppet quilts gallery were made as baby blankets for the Muppet Workshop's friends and family. Useful for fans who want to make similar quilts based on Henson's characters, the book features full-sized, color patterns and step-by-step instructions for 15 different character quilt blocks, which can be mixed and matched. Quilting expertise is not required, as the characters may be fused rather than appliqued (sewn) onto each block. Nonquilters will enjoy seeing the imaginative quilts and reading the background information for each creation. A good choice for all public libraries.
