To me, this is a great book! I say that because it provides simple yet complete directions for all the projects, it is what I refer to as "joyful" to browse through and the projects really can be completed in a weekend IF you purchase your fabric first. And I say that because if you don't already have a pretty good sized stash and have to go shopping, this can be very time consuming in itself especially since it's not always easy to find exactly what you're looking for at the first place you go.

Nice book but title is a little misleading! Several of the 50 projects were just duplicate patterns filed under a different name, what was a beach bag in one section became a tote bag in another and a laundry bag in yet another catagory. Same holds true for a crib blanket that became a wall hanging and then a rug! Knock the title down to maybe "30 Step-by-step Weekend Projects" and it would probably be more accurate. There are some very cute projects that can indeed be finished in a weekend, even for a novice quilter. So even with just 30 projects I'll be stitching for a while!

I own a ton of quilting books and am always looking for some new inspiration and know not to expect too much from a 'quick and easy' approach to quiltmaking, but this book completely fell flat. I was hoping for some new inspiration for quick quilts but found nothing that I haven't seen a million times before. This book is totally uninspired and would give it 2 stars only because if this is the very first quilt book you ever buy it would be fine (not great or even good, but fine).

This quilting book by Emma Hardy, has a lot of cute and easy patterns and ideas. This is a great book and so glad I bought it and highly recommend to any woman who loves to sew. She has other books also that are well worth buying. Emma Hardy has great ideas.

I'm just starting out as a quilter. I found this book in the library and decided that I needed it. It has simple and cute quilts for someone just starting out.

This is a great book has so many different ideas for sewing and alot of gift ideas I would strongly recommend this book to anyone. I bought it used and you can't even tell it wasn't brand new. I am so happy to have this for future use.
