This was a great find! My five sewing and crafting buddies are fighting me for first rights to read it from cover to cover! Such helpful morsels for the true seamstress and quilter! It is needed genre in the quilting world. Patterns are easy to find in other books but the truly helpful secrets and tips passed from one quilter to another, from one generation to another, can only be found here!

This book is the compilation of the expertise of the staff writers from Quilter's Newsletter Magazine and thirty additional well-known and professional quilters. As the Quilting Host at BellaOnline, I have read a number of books on quilting and this is a wonderful book. The information is nicely organized into sections that proceed in the order of how a quilt is constructed, beginning with tips on how to organize your workspace and ending with information on how to care for and display your quilts. There is also a very complete and well organized index at the end of the book so that you can look up specific topics.

The individual chapters are composed of "nuggets" of information with a tagline acknowledging the source of the information. The tips are varied in content and show a great deal of creativity. There are helpful tidbits here for everyone and there are numerous illustrations. The reading is light hearted and pleasant - I thoroughly enjoyed reading through it.

This book is so full of great hints, I can't begin to tell about them. I just open the book at random and read. Every time I find a hint I hadn't even begun to think about needing. Every beginning quilter should read this book.

I had first checked this book out from my local library but was in jeapordy of racking up huge over due fines so I bought myself a copy. It's invaluable. It is useful for both expert quilters and beginners. It's chock-full of tips that streamlines and makes my quilting easier and looking better.

This book is loaded with snippets of information from quilting experts on different subjects. For example, in the section, "Needle Tips and Stitching Tricks", Sharyn Squier Craig says, "For hand quilting, I like to use Piecemakers #12 betweens because they don't bend easily and they retain their sharpness for a long time. The eyes on Piecemakers needles are large, which makes them easy to thread, and these #12 betweens are very short, which is helpful in making tiny stitches ..." Now that's helpful information!

This is an excellent resource book for experienced quilters as well as beginners. It has exceeded my expectations. I have picked up many simple tips that have made a huge difference in my finished products.

Wow! This book is filled with ideas, most I had not heard about, and they do work! Quilting will be easier with the ideas in this book and it belongs on any quilter's book shelf. Great for yourself or as a gift. You will not be disappointed!

Book arrived in four days after purchase. I was very surprised and the book was in new condition. I think that book was never opened.

Would recommend this book to all quilters. I have used this so many times. Keep going back to it again & again. Covers so many things to do with quilting. I even bought one for my friend. We are both just beginners at quilting. Highly recommended.
