5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome series, but this is only the first two books
When I saw the title "The Quinn Brothers" I thought it would include all four of the books so I was amazed at the price. When I purchased it I was sad to see it was only the first two. Oh well still a great price even for just two books, I just thought I would let others know in case they thought the same as I.

3.0 out of 5 stars It was a good read...
I enjoyed it... but I must say that I have enjoyed some of her other books more. Honestly sometimes the flow and the feel of some of her other books seems as if she has "ghost" writers on staff. I don't know if that is the case here; I'm just sayin'...

4.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Beginning of a Heartwarming Series, July 7, 2006
This review is from: The Quinn Brothers: 2-in-1 (Chesapeake Bay) (Mass Market Paperback)
This series (a total of four novels) reflects the story of the Quinn Brothers and the setting is the beautiful harbor of Maryland's coastal Chesapeake Bay - Cameron, Ethan, and Phillip (Seth came later after Stella had died). Not blood brothers, but broken, sad and damaged boys all adopted at different times by Ray Quinn and his wife, Stella. The first novel, Sea Swept, tells Cam's story and takes us through his journey with the social worker, Anna Spinelli, assigned to the case of Seth DeLauter, the boy Cam's father took in off the streets before he died in an auto accident. The family focus of the men and the plot that develops through each of their personalities is amazing. They all work together to hold onto Seth (and abide by their father's dying wish) even though there is mystery and question as to his heritage relating to their father. They restructure their lives and begin their boat building business - "Boats by Quinn" - and through it all discover that the bond they have with each other that was started by Ray Quinn, is only stronger as time goes on. This is a fantastic story and each novel tells the story of another brother. Rising Tides takes us through Ethan's life and tortured past and his struggle to continue on, help bond and accept Seth in his life and try to dismiss the ghosts of his past in order to make a future. Grace Monroe and her daughter Aubrey are the keys to unlock his struggle, however, he has a very difficult time accepting them into his life. Grace is a very strong and lovable character and the reader is just pulled right into the whole family so much that you feel a very big part of their closeness. Go out and begin reading - you will not be disappointed!

5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely stories of family, love and life... Worth the buy!, June 22, 2010
This review is from: The Quinn Brothers: 2-in-1 (Chesapeake Bay) (Mass Market Paperback)
This series of books is really some of Nora Robert's best writing. I have read and reread these stories multiple times. I loan this collection of books to my sister and had to beg to get them returned to me. The Chesapeake Bay series has to do with a set of three adoptive brothers whom after dealing with the lose of their father have their lives turned upside down when they find out that there is now another brother to look after "Seth". These three brothers go out of thier way to make Seth feel like one of the family and to try and stop Seth's money crazed mother from getting custody back from them. Along the way all three of the brother stumble into love and their lives change. Overall they are three very touching stories about love knowing know boundries, family and how life changes at will. I would recomend them to anyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Double your pleasure with this 2 for 1 romance collection, December 26, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This combined first two books of the Chesapeake Bay saga [Sea Swept and Rising Tides] introduces us to the Quinns, a family of now-grown bad boys adopted by Dr. Quinn and her husband, both great role models for anybody. The saga opens with the gathering of the three men due to the dying of their last parent, the father, in the first book which tells world-traveler/champion boat racer Cameron's story, and introduces the central problem of the series which all three brothers have to resolve: Seth, a young boy with mysterious background - who looks remarkably like their father, the father that they know would never have been unfaithful to their now-deceased mother. Because he is dying as a result of an auto accident while transporting Seth to his home, there is no time - and no document - to explain. But Seth needs the three brothers Quinn as much as they ever needed the two wonderful people who adopted them. Who is Seth? What is his relationship to the Quinns, and what happened to the money in the Quinn banking account? How can three men whose careers span the world take care of Seth? Without some authority or legal relationship, how can they even keep Seth, with the system ever-ready to gobble him up? Why is Seth so afraid???? RISING TIDES tells Ethan's story. Deeply scarred by his early life, Ethan alone remained in the area, making his living on the sea, and dreaming of building beautiful boats. Each of the brothers has to make sacrifices and changes to be true to their upbringing and the promise they made to their father, but it's especially hard for Ethan, who has become a loner out of what he believes is necessity. The story of how the brothers mesh their lives, woo the reluctant and fearful Seth into brotherhood, and finally unravel the mysteries continues into the third book, and Seth's adult story completes the series with the fourth Chesapeake Bay book. Entertaining and uplifting, this is a great buy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved these brothers, wonderful set of stories, all 4 books are great, December 27, 2011

This review is from: The Quinn Brothers: 2-in-1 (Chesapeake Bay) (Mass Market Paperback)
I love these brothers. This series of books is my very favorite from Nora Roberts. Each brother's story (each has their own book, 4 in all) is a wonderful gift from the author. The relationship between these adopted brothers is marvelous and funny. I wish Ms Roberts would write more books mostly about men and their relationships and as in this set of stories the women should be secondary to the main plot of the brothers and how they get along and solve their problems. Each of the 4 books of this series are a really enjoyable read. Roberts writes men and their relationships very well, very entertaining books. I am reading the Blood Brothers now, a 3 book series with men as mostly the main characters but they are not as humorous as the Cheasapeke Bay series brothers due to the evil resident spirit they are batteling. I like Ms. Roberts' books but prefer, by far, the ones she writes that feature men as the main character. MORE stories featuring MEN Ms. Roberts, less about women even in the men featured books and you will have me for life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved the Chesapeake Bay Series and characters, September 15, 2011
I loved all four of these books. Even though I read these several years ago, the series remains one of my all time favorites. Each brother has his own story and, as with many of Nora Roberts books, they are all an exciting read. You can't wait to finish one so that you can continue the story of the rest, yet never really wanting any to end altogether.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Story, April 6, 2010
This review is from: The Quinn Brothers: 2-in-1 (Chesapeake Bay) (Mass Market Paperback)
I'd read the previous two books in the "trilogy" and was surprised to find this while searching for the last of the three. It was great to see she had finished Seth's story, although it did feel a little rushed. All in all, a great series.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Quinn Brothers, June 27, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Quinn Brothers: 2-in-1 (Chesapeake Bay) (Mass Market Paperback)
This is a great 2 in 1 book I like how it shows the family dynamic in each of the 2 books. Sea Swept shows how even a wild boy like Cameron still is there when his family needs him. Though he acts all rough and tough inside is the heart of a marshmallow. Carmeron thinks he is the tough guy and nothing can get to him until he meets Anna and everything changes for him. In Rising Tides you meet Ethan always the family man with a heart of gold if only he can get Grace to see him that way. He knows what he wants and it is her but with her past hurts she is scared to let him in not only her life and heart but her daughters too.
