From the Back Cover

#1 New York Times bestselling author Iris Johansen explores the darkest corners of the human heart as forensic sculptor Eve Duncan closes in on the killer who stole her daughter so many years ago.

As a former Navy SEAL turned cop, Joe Quinn has seen the face of evil and knows just how deadly it can be. When he first met Eve, he never expected to fall in love with a woman whose life would be defined by her dual desires to bring home her missing daughter and discover the truth behind her disappearance—no matter how devastating. With the help of CIA agent Catherine Ling, Quinn makes a shocking discovery that sheds new light on young Bonnie’s abduction and puts him squarely in the crosshairs of danger. Eve’s first love, John Gallo, a soldier supposedly killed in the line of duty, is very much alive—and very much a threat. Now, as

their search takes them deeper and deeper into a web of murder and madness, Joe and Eve must confront their most primal fears…and test their resolve to uncover the ultimate bone-chilling truth.

Also, too much repetition of words/phrases for feelings of the characters.

like most people that have read Quinn within 2 days of it being published, i'm an Iris Johansen fan that has read all of the Eve Duncan books. the Eve/Quinn/Bonnie books should probably just be one book...and definitely should have come out at the same time. "Eve" was interesting because it told the story of Bonnie's father...Quinn was pretty much all fluff and stuff we already knew. and generally speaking, leaving fans to hang on to the cliffhanger endings of subpar books to find out what happened to Bonnie is wrong. somehow curiosity has overcome my disappointment and at this point, i just want to find out what happened to Bonnie. if "Bonnie" doesn't clear it all up [especially after a 3 month wait and three time $12.99 hit for the series], i don't think I'll ever buy another book by Iris Johansen...enough already!

This book is obviously an attempt by Iris Johansen and her publishers to milk as much money as she can before she finally lets her devoted readers off the hook with who killed Bonnie.

Quinn adds nothing new and sheds no light on who killed Bonnie. At least half of this book is devoted to material the reader already knows. To add insult to injury, there is no "ending" at all to this book. What is the purpose of it then? More money for the author and publisher, less for the devoted reader...Skip this book. I borrowed this book from a friend, and she is putting it back up for resale.

If you read the first book, you know there are only two viable suspects at this time. No one is going to be surprised at how Book 3 ends. Shame on you, Iris. Your readers deserve better!

Quinn
She must have had. Somebody else. To have written. This book. Most of the book. Was written with choppy. Short sentences. Like this. Where the heck was. The editor?

I have read all Iris Johansen's books, and enjoyed most of them. This was the worst yet. The story was more about Catherine's exploits, while Eve sat holding Joe's hand in a hospital room. Boring! I couldn't wait til it ended!

I have enjoyed most of the Eve series, but this book was a total waste of time. There is such a thing as "beating a dead horse" and I believe Johansen has achieved that lowly pinnacle with the publication of Quinn. The last 3 books, Eve, Quinn and Bonnie should have been one heavily edited volume instead of the obvious money grab that was produced. Shame on the editor.

This book was hugely disappointing. It told absolutely nothing new and can be skipped altogether. The characters are unrealistic and unbelievable. There is no ending to the end of this book. I just hope "Bonnie" actually tells the final story and we can move on to something else. Enough already!

Iris Johansen is one of my all time FAVORITE authors. I have read all of her books and have liked pretty much all of them. I was nervous about these last 3 due to the reviews so I didn't go out and buy them like the rest and I'm so GLAD I didn't. Eve was okay but I was sooo excited for Quinn. I mean how could a book about a delicious exSEAL who is trying to hunt down his womens daughters killer not be good, I mean how could anything be bad about that kind of subject? But it was. The for half of the book just goes a little more in depth on stuff we already knew (a total waste of time) then after that it's all about mainly Gallo and Catherine. Why would you title the book QUINN when it barely involved him. I was really upset with this book. After how she made Quinn look in Eve I expected so much more.

If you're an Eve Duncan advocate like me you will finish the series but I won't advise you to go out and buy the book.
