5.0 out of 5 stars It was great.
I loved the book. It told of how she became a doctor and the love that she had for it. When people told her she could not go to medical school because she was a girl and that they don't allow them to go to school to become doctors she proved them all wrong. She is a strong person and she did what was in her heart not what others wanted her to do. We can all learn...

3.0 out of 5 stars Well written, but too many contradictions to the TV-series
The book is written in a language easily understood and with an exciting story. Unfortunately there are many contraditons to the action in the TV-series, fx: In the Tv-series, Michaela tells Colleen that she got her first kiss at the age of 25 - in the book she is 16. An important detail is that according to the book Michaela has known David her entire life, but in the...

The book is written in a language easily understood and with an exciting story. Unfortunately there are many contraditons to the action in the TV-series, fx: In the Tv-series, Michaela tells Colleen that she got her first kiss at the age of 25 - in the book she is 16. An important detail is that according to the book Michaela has known David her entire life, but in the TV-series she says that she met him at the hospital. And the circumstances surronding the death of her father are not similar either. If I had never seen the TV-series I'm sure I would have loved the book, but instead I spent a lot of time being annoyed about the details. If I only had to rate the story without knowing the TV-series I would have given it a 9.

5.0 out of 5 stars I was very impressed with the way it matched shows storyline, April 5, 1997

I thought it was a very well written piece of litterature. I'm a big fan of the show "Dr. Quinn - Medicine Woman" and I was pleased to get "background" information on the charracter "Dr. Michaela Quinn". I understand another book is suppose to be out in June. I intend to add that one to my collection as well. I've already recommended and lent this book to many other people who've enjoyed it as well

5.0 out of 5 stars Everything I wanted to know about her pre-Colorado life!, January 22, 1997

Everything in the series makes so much more sense now! It is extremely well written, and you totally get inside Michaela's head. Plus, the background info on her and David's relationship is explained. I'd recommend this to anyone who has any interest in her life before Colorado Springs

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent book for a Dr Quinn fan., October 14, 1997

This review is from: Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman (Paperback)
I thought that this book was a great book. I am a huge fan of Dr. Quinn, and to be able to recieve that kind of background information about Michaela only made me understand her even better than I already did. There were times that I cried because the author just made you feel everything Michaela was feeling. There were times that I would just laugh, or times when I could not put the book down. There were times that you would just want to let out a cheer. Even though I have a hectic schedule, this is one book that I could not put down. It kept me captivatec the whole time. I would like to thank Thresa Warfiled for publishing such an excellent book. My next book I am planning on reading is the Bounty, also by Thresa Warfield. I can hope that that one will be as good as this and that Miss. Warfield will keep publishing excellent books about the tv series. Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman is definatly a book you should read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome!, January 18, 1997
By A Customer
This review is from: Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman (Paperback)
I love Dr. Quinn, I watch it every saturday, but I did not know how she came to Colorado Springs or her life before that. This book informed me very much on that. It is great and filled with unexpected surprises, joys, and sorrows. I really reccomend this book to anyone who likes Dr. Quinn, or things from older settings. Michelle Pujal
