2.0 out of 5 stars Zipper is a deal breaker
I bought this to use it from my child's birth. I tested removing the lining which is what you have to do to attach an infant car seat on it. Then, of course I tested putting back the lining. It was HORRIBLE! It took me forever to zip up the entire thing. It made my thumbs hurt. It's unfortunate because the stroller is very easy to maneuver, folds compact, and is...

4.0 out of 5 stars Compact, light weight but roomy stroller, February 29, 2008
After going through several strollers with our first child and never really being satisfied, we decided to start from scratch. Now knowing what is important and what isn't, after almost 4 year of dealing with strollers, we did a lot of research and test driving before choosing which ones to buy. We picked this stroller for our umbrella type. It is super light weight, folds up more compact than any other stroller out there (can fit in an overhead on an airplane) and is so easy to control. Now people say that about a lot of strollers, even super cheap ones. But until you have actually been able to push one around easily with one hand (one finger, even!) then you don't know what a smooth ride it can be. I gave it four stars only because it doesn't have the oh so important child trays, snack holders, parent drink holders that clutter up the usual American strollers, but we all seem to need. This is not the one to use when going for long walks outside, but it is great for trips to the mall or other crowded places. Another benefit is that it is wider at the shoulders and longer in length, so it is good for bigger kids as well. And then there is the wow factor. It is bright and funky looking and always gets lots of looks of admiration. Not that that is important, but it is a bonus. I wouldn't buy something just for brand or looks, but this is a well made and fun to use stroller, so well worth the money.

4.0 out of 5 stars The good, the bad, and the really good...., March 8, 2011
This review is from: Quinny Zapp, 2008/2009, 4 Wheel, Stroller, Black (Baby Product)
In my quest for a great stroller, many have fallen by the wayside.....gone to Goodwill, been given away, sold at consignment, etc. I have used the Zapp for about 2 years, and it has endured and excelled. Even after much use, it does not wiggle, wobble, or squeak. It is, by far, the closest I've found to great. The wheels are the best I've ever used. They are rubber, as opposed to plastic, so it rolls as easily on smooth tile or polished hardwood as it does over concrete. The wheels are wide enough to easily cross broken sidewalk and rough doorways, I've even pushed it across grass and sand with ease. One of the most awesome features is the steering. It is one hand, even one finger, push and steer with my 33 lb. toddler in it. I can turn it in a complete circle with one hand. The wide wheelbase does make some aisles impossible, but I'll sacrifice that for the other great features. The wide wheelbase also makes it more stable than any other folding stroller I have used. I can easily hang a purse on the back, but probably not a full size, loaded diaper bag. My toddler can wiggle and flail around without fear. The seat is a durable, breathable material and has great support. The only drawback is that it does not recline. I carry one of those circular headrests in the basket. The footrest area is perfect, even for a tall, 37" child. The breaking system is awesome, even in flip flops. The basket is small, but I didn't expect much in a lightweight folding stroller. I can stuff a small diaper bag and a few purchases in, but not much more. I've seen better sunshades, but this one is still more than adequate. The parent and child windows are great. The major selling point to me was the small fold. In its bag, I can put it in the overhead of an airplane. I have read that some people have had trouble getting it into the bag, but I've never had a problem. It is great in restaurants or waiting rooms. It folds small enough to roll under a table or most chairs. The fold and unfold is easiest with two hands, but not impossible with one. The side releases do not have to be depressed at the same time, though the left one must be depressed first. It can be awkward with one hand. The other thing of note about unfolding it is that you have to use the top of your foot to pull the back of the frame out, or else you have to bend down and do it by hand. It is not comfortable in flip flops or sandals. If you are looking for something you can fold and carry on the train, bus, subway, etc., this might not be the stroller for you. It is compact and lightweight, but doesn't have a strap or handle. It is awkward to carry unless it is in the case, which isn't convenient when using public transportation. This stroller wouldn't be my only stroller from infancy, but for what it is designed to be, a lightweight small folder, it has been great. This has been my favorite stroller yet.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Stoller, January 15, 2011
This review is from: Quinny Zapp, 2008/2009, 4 Wheel, Stroller, Black (Baby Product)
This is an awesome stroller! Not only does it fold up nicely and does not take up space in my trunk, but it is very easy to maneuver. The rain cover that is included works well. I definitely recommend this to friends. A lady stopped me at the store to find out what brand of stroller I used. She said pushing the stroller looked so effortless.

4.0 out of 5 stars nice travel stroller, October 20, 2010

This review is from: Quinny Zapp, 2008/2009, 4 Wheel, Stroller, Black (Baby Product)
it took me a long time to finally buy this stroller...reading positive nad negative reviews left me kinda worried about it,but i finally bought it ( we have the AQUA color).i have been though soo many strollers (5 total) and this is one of my favorties.. its light weight, folds small, easy to turn even with a 21lbs toddler in it( you can really use 1 hand!)
it doesnt have alot of cool features (no child tray or cup holder, no adult cup holder, not to great of a sun canapoy, small under bakest) but if your using this as a 2nd stroller for uses like : traveling (bus,plane,train..even just commuting around town) or a stroller to keep in your car then this is perfect!
i have a big hobo bag that i use as my diaper bag somethings and it fits in the small under basket..thats ALL that will fit in there..i was also able to put 1 shopping bags on each handle and it not tip over!

we have the aqua color which is nice, but it looks like i stole one of the rent strollers for a theme park(its not too great of a blue color!)
i bought this because we do not have a car and we rid the bus and train alot of get around the city, also its so light weight my mother and mother in law can push it around and pick it up with no problems!

it doesnt sound too much like a shopping cart( i read that on someone elses review) but it does have a hint sound like that, i think after breaking it in it stops sounding so loud
i do wish it came with cup holders or a child tray and a better canapoy. but for the most it is one great stroller

this is our #2 back up/travel stroller..we also have a peg perego p3 which we use more for long walks

It was HORRIBLE! It took me forever to zip up the entire thing. It made my thumbs hurt. It's unfortunate because the stroller is very easy to maneuver, folds compact, and is light. I just can't deal with the zipper. This is probably ok for moms that don't need to use it for a new born.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice compact stroller, March 14, 2009

This review is from: Quinny Zapp, 2008/2009, 4 Wheel, Stroller, Black (Baby Product)
This is a nice compact stroller that works well with the maxi cozi car seat that we inheritted. Our son is still is the infant car seat so we havent' used the regular seat yet. Folds up nice and compact and is much smaller for city use/shopping than many other strollers.
Would have ben nice if the shopping basket could be used with the car seat and not just the regular seat though.
