5.0 out of 5 stars Love this stroller...it grows with Baby!
I just received my Quinny Zapp Extra and I must say I'm in love. I have a few strollers already (a Graco Snugride Frame, BOB Revolution and a Maclaren Quest) but this Quinny is definitely the best all around stroller. My Snugride frame has been my best friend for the first 3 months of my daughter's life but now I could tell she was getting a little cramped in her car...

This review is from: Quinny Zapp Xtra, Rocking Black (Baby Product)
I really wanted to love this stroller. I reviewed several strollers over three months and decided on this one. My final decision was narrowed down to the First Years Wave and this stroller. First, let me state that I do not hate this stroller. I am a first time mom of a charming 10 month old. I purchased this stroller when my son was 8 months. This stroller has some major positives and negatives.
Positives--
1. I love the idea of the compact fold. I also love the reversible feature of the stroller. I wanted a stroller that I could use in a variety of settings. We travel monthly as a family; whether we are undertaking a 5 hour drive to Grandma's house or a flight to the west coast, we needed a reliable stroller. We have a baby trend jogger. It is too large and cumbersome to take anywhere other than the park. I drive a large SUV. The jogger stroller takes up over half of the storage with third row let down. The compact fold of the Quinny is perfect.
2. I can remove the front two wheels to make it even smaller.
3. My son is very comfortable in the Quinny. I love to take him to the mall in this stroller.
4. The stroller is fairly easy to maneuver and can support one or two bags on the handles.
5. The stroller is very fashionable and eye-catching. My husband does not mind pushing it.

Negatives--
1. For the price, I expect more...this is an expensive stroller, I expect to get a travel bag, some accessories, or at least a bar of some type for my little one to grab on to.
2. The stroller has a compact fold...but it has a learning curve. The other reviewer is correct. This is not the stroller you want to be caught in the rain with. It is trouble on wheels. I researched numerous Youtube clips of moms collapsing and setting up this stroller. It is not as easy as it looks. I will post picks later demonstrating this. I thought that my stroller was defective for awhile. But, after reading similar reviews I have found that this is a common problem. My father in law, my mother in law, my husband, my brother, and my sister all had difficulty setting up this stroller. My jogging stroller may be large, but it fold in a snap! It seems relatively simple. You push the one button then the two button and the top is suppose to collapse. This has happened 70% of the time. However, the 30% of the time that it did not was horrific. I had to press the one and the two at the same time in order to get the frame to collapse. ***Okay, now lets talk about the worst feature on this stroller...the push in step at the bottom. I have nearly slipped several times attempting to push the bar in to collapse the frame. The frame collapses without problems 50% of the time. The amount of time it takes to get the stroller up and running with baby is ridiculous. Remember the clips I discussed on youtube... this is not that stroller 50% of the time.
3. I want to discuss the reversible seat. The seat takes some time to click in initially. It has to click in a certain way. This frustrates my husband to no end. He is a technically savvy guy. He prides himself in his ability to put anything together. He has managed to put all of our son's furniture together and toys. However, the seat snap agitates him. The whole process of taking the stroller out of the car is a chore. We have a total of three strollers... the jogging stroller, a cheap umbrella, and this Quinny. The Quinny is slowly becoming our least favorite.

Overall, I have had this stroller for the last two months. It is adequate. However, for the price I could have gotten something much more substantial. I am actually considering selling this stroller on ebay. I think the stroller is average at best. For all the expense, the fold and fit has no functionality. I would have been better off spending the extra money and getting a luxury stroller. I hope this helps. Again, I want to state that I do not hate this stroller...but, for the money I was expecting more substance. Pictures will follow.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love this stroller...it grows with Baby!, June 18, 2011
I just received my Quinny Zapp Extra and I must say I'm in love. I have a few strollers already (a Graco Snugride Frame, BOB Revolution and a Maclaren Quest) but this Quinny is definitely the best all around stroller. My Snugride frame has been my best friend for the first 3 months of my daughter's life but now I could tell she was getting a little cramped in her car seat and wanted more space while we're running errands, shopping, etc. Our BOB is a great exercise stroller but it's big and bulky (especially with the car seat adaptor) and even when folded down takes up a lot of room in my trunk (and I have a large SUV). Finally, we haven't even used our Maclaren yet because she has to face forward and I don't think either of us is ready for that...enter the Quinny. In my book the best thing about the Quinny is that the seat can face you (and reclines) and then later can face the world (when you're both ready). It's easy to maneuver and a great size. The sunshade is phenomenal (very important in San Diego). The one thing about the Quinny that is hard to get used to is the two piece fold. The seat comes off and the base folds separately. Though this might be a little difficult to get used to this is also what allows for the baby to face you in the beginning and eventually face out. My only regret is that I didn"t get it sooner.

4.0 out of 5 stars I love the stroller but like every stroller it has its faults, March 30, 2011

This review is from: Quinny Zapp Xtra, Rocking Black (Baby Product)
I recently bought the Quinny Zapp Xtra (Rocking Black) and I love it. Its really compact and it easily fits into my car without taking up much room. Unlike the Quinny Zapp, you can hang sum light bags on the Xtra handles without it falling back. I love that my son can both see me and the world with the reversible seat. No cup holder (not a big deal, you can order one). The sunshade is large so offers great protection from the sun. My son falls asleep as soon as he gets in it, so its very comfortable. It can lay flat but i do not recommend for parents with young babies unless you buy the carseat because this is a two handed fold stroller. I love the safety straps because there not so easy for a toddler to unbuckle. The one press brake is also a plus. Now to the down side of this stroller. NOISY!!!Stroller makes to much noise on pavement. Also would of liked if it was a one handed fold. If you're caught in a rain and trying to fold it, its torture. The basket is ok but not great for large diaper bags. Its not very sturdy but ok if your baby likes to be bounced to sleep. Overall I think the Quinny was a good buy but I do think the price is a little high and thats my review of the Quinny Zapp Xtra.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic stroller, September 2, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Dear parents,
We purchased Quinny Zapp a month ago, just before our family went for a trip to Europe. Our daughter is 9 months old and we desperately needed a lightweight, travel stroller that is of an attractive design. Our older daughter liked it because of the color (red), we loved it for the design. The seat has three positions which is additional pro and we used it as high chair (position two) and as a crib (position three). Our daughter slept in it totally comfortably at the beach and during our long strolls.

The only drawback we found is that once folded, this stroller makes two pieces of luggage. The first piece is the frame which folds (Zapps) well. Once the wheels are taken off, the frame fits into a regular hand bag. The second piece is super light and can be carried by any kid. Our stroller was a main attraction when the flight attendant allowed us to take it with us to the cabin as opposed to other families with umbrella strollers that did not fold so well. I think we did a great promotion for Quinny on that flight ş.
All in all, our family would highly recommend this stroller. It is fantastic value for money. You will have fancy looking, functional, lightweight stroller, very easy to use and navigate through either tourist or city crowd.

Best,
SS family

4.0 out of 5 stars Quinny Zapp Xtra moves overseas!, December 27, 2010
This review is from: Quinny Zapp Xtra, Rocking Black (Baby Product)
I was on Amazon looking for accessories for my Quinny Zapp Xtra and thought I would write a review. I got my Quinny Zapp Xtra in the UK as soon as it came out!! I love this stroller because it is so lightweight and easy to zipp around places. I do find it hard to move around with one hand if I am multitasking. The stroller is a two part fold, so the base folds up super small and the seat does not fold, but lies fairly flat. We flew over here and hoped to take it on the flight with us, but because it was a two part fold we had to check it in. My babe loves being in this stroller, which amazes me, she hates being pushed! She loves to be lying back looking up at mom! All in - Great lightweight, zippy stroller, perfect for moms and dads on the move!

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Stroller, June 29, 2011
I so love the new Zapp Xtra, my son Marcus looks really comfortable in it. Unlike the older version of Zapp (my son found it difficult to sleep in it when we took a longer stroll outside or in our case we brought it to our Euro-Trip), this one reclines and Marcus has no problem sitting/lying in it but he actually enjoys the ride. The seat is padded making it soft and snug for my little tyke, the huge canopy is also an added feature that I actually played peek-a-boo with Marcus which he found entertaining. The only downside is that you still have to take off the seat to fold the stroller, but its easy to attach or remove the seat. Since I am on the Petite side, the Zapp Xtra is somewhat a weenie bit higher than the old model, this will be a plus for taller Moms.

Another note on Dorel Juvenile Group Inc. they have the friendliest and fastest customer service i've ever encountered. Take time to register your Product, so they have easy access to your file should something go wrong with your item. I give them an A+ for customer service and product line!

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome stroller, March 17, 2011
I am so glad I waited for this stroller to come out this year. It is very sturdy and well made. I bought it for my granddaughter to use when she is with me because of the compact fold and will fit in my mini cooper with no problem. Now her parents like it so much that they are using it more than her bigger Quinny Buzz! She seems very comfortable while riding in it and the recline is great as she has had quite a few naps in it. I love how the seat can face you and also the large canopy. There is an extra large canopy on it and when fully extended it will keep the sun out of her eyes while the seat is reclined. It pushes like a dream and turns on a dime. The size of this stroller is larger than what it looks like in the picture. It is a full size stroller with compact size folding. The basket is a little small but we are still able to put her (large) diaper bag in it. The color is much prettier than in the picture. I think the color in the picture looks dull but when you see it in person it is a very pretty coral pink color.
I am very satisfied with my purchase and it is priced right.

This review is from: Quinny Zapp Xtra, Rocking Black (Baby Product)
I love this stroller! It folds really compact with exception of the seat but that is because the baby can face both ways which is so nice to see your baby when they are still so little. It is easy to push and maneuvers great. It looks great too! I always get lots of compliments. The material is wonderful, things wipe right off. This is the best stroller we've ever owned and the best price!
