Sturdy and looks great with the silver.

I love it, the only problem is that with my 27" imac the usb cable to go from the device to the imac is a bit short.

Frankly, I think the product ought to be pulled of marked and relaunched when these issues were fixed, if ever.

Just got this from Amazon and thought I would point a few things out.
- The "screws" show on the picture are no longer there. Its just a solid aluminum bar.
- The "short cable" has been replaced with a very long cable. Looks like be about 2 feet long
- There are lights above each each USB port on the front (why!?)
- It comes with an AC Adapter so it's not fully powered by a simple USB Cable. This is good as it allows all 6 USB ports to be active and charge multiple devices (sometimes USB Hubs connected to the computer via a cable don't product enough power to charge multiple devices - or even some!)
- iPod/iPhone/iPad charge just fine from the front USB ports.
- I am able to slide both my Wireless Keyboard and Magic Trackpad 'underneath' the Quirky. I also have a 'Magic Bar' attached to both (allows you to charge the Keyboard/Trackpad and not use batteries) and they still fit!

Check out the pictures above.

Looks like this might be an updated version!

Ok. I saw this product at MicroCenter at the Mac store.
Was greatly impressed and didnt want to spend the $80, but yet I wanted it because of the great concept and the fact it was sturdy construction and a 6 USB ports.
Went back and finally took the plunge. Was all excited to get it home only to find a ridiculously SHORT cable which had a mini USB to a USB - to plug into your Mac.
I have a mid 27" iMac 2010 iMac and even using the USB port on the back of the Mac closest to the left of the Space Bar, I cant completely center my 27" iMac, without there being strain on the cable. I would have given it 5 bars but this is very aggravating for something that shouldnt have been overlooked. If the company sends me a decent length cable then I'll certainly upgrade to 5 stars. Be prepared to invest in a miniUSB to USB cable if you want your 27" iMac in the center. Sorry.... but for $80, I should be taken care of with an adequately length cable. Other than that, GREAT concept, GREAT construction, and does a good job of being able to organize your work space. I am just a perfectionist and want my iMac in the center of the space bar.

Post-Purchase Review
--------------------

Got this for my wife's Mac setup; an older 24" Apple Cinema Display sits on top of it. It's a solid-feeling construct, a bit heavy, but in a good way. I don't see this thing as being able to sag even if I doubled the weight on it. I personally like the exposed screws -- though my wife will be the first to tell you, with the papers and notes that sit on the stand, you'll never see them. (Actually, that was one thing she particularly liked about this stand; there's room to use next to the foot of the monitor). All USB ports work fine; she's hooked up cameras, her iPhone, card readers -- all worked with no problem.

If I had to make a complaint, it'd be that the depth of the stand could be a little deeper, but that's about it. Great idea, great looking, great execution.

August 8, 2011 Update
--------------------

After using for about a month and a half, no basic problems. Keyboard and trackball hooked up to it all the time, no perceivable issues. Occasional camera card reader use was fine, though my wife discovered the Mac mini has an SD card slot so that's no longer used.

However, when trying to run a software update on the iPhone a few days ago, the connection kept dropping. This doesn't happen during normal sync'ing, not with the iPhone or iPod, but it did happen -- a lot -- during the update attempt. Using the same cable, I hooked it up directly to the Mac mini and proceeded with no problems.

We're still quite happy with the product; it looks sturdy, is sturdy, and works quite well for our needs -- but I thought I'd mention the iPhone issue.

This is a nice stand to hold an Apple display: sturdy, consistent styling, useful shape/height. There are two problems: Lights on the front are too bright (not sure what purpose they serve anyway, as they are always on) and USB ports provide insufficient power to charge an iPhone even though this hub has an AC cord.

When importing images from an SD card via a reader (plugged in to the Quirky Space Bar) that I have been using for several years without any problems (when connected to Apple display USB port), the SD card was disconnected and some image files corrupted. Plugged the SD card reader back in to the Apple display and it is working just fine.

So, don't expect much from the USB hub, and don't trust it with anything important.

It turned out to be just what I needed to give me some extra space and height for my iMac. Also gives me extra usb ports. I recommend it highly.

Great quality, can support the iMac wight just fine, it matches the iMac finish perfectly and having the USB prots in the front is very very nice.
You can slide the keyboard or a laptop under it with no problem.

I love it, the only problem is that with my 27" imac the usb cable to go from the device to the imac is a bit short. Because of that I had to place my imac on the spacebar off center, which gets on my nerves. Other than that I love it!
