I love this show when it was on the air and hated it when the networks canceled it.

Before “The Newsroom”, “West Wing”, and “Social Network”, Aaron Sorkin created “Sports Night.” The show has the fast paced, intelligent dialogue for which Sorkin is semi-famous. The show is based on the fictitious program “Sports Night”, very slightly based on ESPN’s “Sports Center”. This is not just for sports fans, the behind-the-scenes setting provides the stage for one of the smartest comedy/drama. The story lines are unconventional and many are not wrapped up at the end of each half-hour. A great program for bindge viewing.

Great actors. Great dialogue. This is a very intelligent and witty show that manages to aptly combine comedy, relationship chemistry, and touching drama. I wish it had continued for many more seasons.

It's NOT about sports, but an enviable understanding and love of sports is what bonds the characters on the TV set of this sportscasting program. Such a well-written show, every line worth hearing, but you have to concentrate your listening powers -- they go fast! The wit is great fun, as are the many relationships, with here and there a sobering moment. You really can't help falling for everyone in that studio. And on DVD or streaming, each episode's a whopping 22 minutes -- there's always time for one more!

This was an excellent show with an excellent cast. It's a shame that it is no longer being produced. Maybe it can come back at some point just like arrested development.

I never watched this show when it was on the air but I bought both seasons recently. Classic Sorkin. Recommended for all!

I binge watched the two full seasons of Sports Night a month ago when I was healing from surgery. I forgot how brilliantly funny the show was. The case is chockfull of great actors; the writing is brilliant; the characters are fully formed flawed humans; the storylines and topics covered in the show are still topical. I am only sorry that this wonderfully funny, ahead-of-its-time show was on for only tow seasons. I would have loved more.

In season 2 they got rid of the laugh track. (yeah!) Sorry the show ended after only two seasons, but I'm glad it's available on demand !

Have to copy someone else and sy this is the best show no one was watching. After watching the first season i bought the second --it is great. However if i Had to choose i would buy the first it lost a little and i mean very little zineg from the first to the second season but watch and if you like A Few Good Men, West Wing or any intelligent COmedy your will like this.
